I really do hope nokia will succeed as smartphone innovation has been lacking ever since they were sold to microsoft. Also, they are the only brand that can seriously challenge samsung in android, but nokia will have to follow the pack and be competitive in every segment. They can't rely on their brand to sell phones anymore and they don't have a different os to differentiate from the millions and millions of android oems out there.

It's always nice to see companies competing against each other. What if the smartphone companies left are only Apple and Samsung? Wouldn't that be sad? It's like having no playmates...
Back to the topic, welcome back Nokia. It's nice to have you back again. I'd still get a feature phone and get a smartphone from them. A phablet from them would be nice.

dont think nokia could win its position back easily.
phone has become a computer. tech concerned users pursue the latest greatest tech. users would ask what chipset, what/ how much ram/ internal storage are installed.
style concerned users still go for their iphones.
nokia once hope to live on their own symbian, or the later windows, but failed.
nokia itself lack own high end tech. no latest nm chipset, no own make oled high density screen. everything can only buy from others. while using the same android to build the phone. htc, sony are doing this, situation is bad.
if phone makers do not have own tech advantage, it's impossible to compete at the high end stage. sony finally moved to mid range only. but when there is no more hiigh end models offered, its phone and its brand can be neglected gradully

They take Nokia's Meego to make Tizen. That's prove Nokia's Tech. People saying this is not real Nokia, who cares. Today we buy phone seeing reviews and checking a lot not only by Brand. If brand matters so much Xiaomi would be nowhere today but they are good right. So if Nokia can make good phones who cares. Adam EXTRA we get the brand name.
