Cody, 29 Oct 2018i have the Sony Xperia X, and i think it is allright, i can... morei thimk the best way to keep battery life is to turn on stemena mode whitch only realy makes the scroling on the home screen and web pages a litleslower but i don't notice is so much, i have it on all the time so my eyes get a little used to the scroling performance, but use it by all means it does help for an extra 2-5 hours, depending on how much you need to use it a day.

Bla, 14 Aug 2017My Xperia x battery drains too much like 1% in 1min..thats ... morei have the Sony Xperia X, and i think it is allright, i can get close to 3 days with ease. i think Sony has done very good with its batterys and design too, i can't not take my case off, it's so pretty. but mu mum said my phone will break, but i have droped it, sat on it and fallen on it, so i also think the durabillity is good, but Sony please don't make some of your phones plastic, but i do think Sony should make there phones a lot more less bendible.

Xperia X is not impressive. 10 minutes of playing War robots drains about 10 percents of battery. Web browsing drains it significantly too. At night with wifi and nfc On it drained 12% simply doing nothing. Thats crazy

I get 6 days out of my Xperia X. 6 full 24 hours days. I use a few calls and texts each day, and a bit of internet. I dont use streaming, camera, games or videos in general, and I do notice when Im using music player it goes down fairly quickly, at a guess about 10% per hour.
But even when Ive finished and if Ive got only about 20% left, that will still do me for 2 days, so it not a problem if music drains it. Other phones would be dead within an hour or 2 with 20% left
If I use an app with bright screen on, such as notepad for hours, that will drain it quick. I was surprised as I thought notepad wouldnt use much processing power, but I suppose its the bright screen that takes it. I was using if for about 4-5 hours and it drained about 70% of it
I was totally surprised as I expected it to be 2 days max for normal usage. I used to have a Nokia N8 which would last 5-6 days, and I kept putting off upgrading as I thought no modern smartphone would do anywhere near as well as that, but 6 days is no problem with the Xperia X.
I do have battery saving on, but just the standard one, not the super one, and it doesnt change performance really. There is rarely a tiny bit of drag when swiping screens across, like the animation isnt smooth, but very rarely, I cant notice it in normal use.
Its the Xperia X compact if thats any use, I also notice the shape of my phone seems a bit different to the ones in articles on the internet, the corners are more sharp, the ones in the pics seems quite rounded. Maybe its just my eyes or the way the pic seems?
Does anyone else have this kind of performance with their Xperia X?

I use X and impressed with it's battery life. Sure it's not as solid as my old Z3... but for 2600, it does pretty well :)

"So, compare it instead against the Galaxy S7 (9:35h), Huawei P9 (9:15h), HTC 10 (9:08h) and LG G5 (7:35h)" and "Finally, the web browser scores about the same as the video player. Against these same flagships, the Xperia X beats the P9 (8:46h) and HTC 10 (8:42h) but loses to the S7 (14:50h) and the G5 (10:21h)."
Did you mean the Galaxy A7 not the S7?

As a Sony Lover im disappointed, the downward battery trend starting from Z2 to the Z5 is not a good idea, thats why i bought The Z5Premium for its bigger battery which matches my Z2 SoT when my Z2 still with me. I will be waiting for a real flagship from sony that will not sacrifice the battery capacity for something that will not surely beneficial for the consumer, anyway best of luck for the X Series.

Anonymous, 19 May 2016Not the Z3+, that overheating phone.
Snapdragon 650 seems ... moreYes the 650 should be faster than the 808 at least where CPU tasks are concerned. The Adreno 510 is roughly equivalent to the 418 in terms of raw GPU power I've heard, but benefits from newer graphics api support.
That said, the 808 is made on the 20nm process versus the older 28nm for the 650, whether that makes has any affect in closing the performance gap between the A57 cores on the 808 and the A72 in the 650 is anyone's guess.
They both seem to benchmark roughly the same from what I've seen so far.

is this model having a final software ? xperia x does not has sony's stamina mode which will again boost its endurance rating considerably.
for an battery size of 2600mah its not bad at all, but for the price its bit too pricey.
its weird sony phones seeming to have so much hype in this website.

67h is good, not excellent but good
And it will last on 67h for 3 years...which is gooood
Reviewer made good observations on battery life. X with 2600 mah has equal or better batterylife than some flagships with more maH, equal browsing time to most also...
Video playback time...I cant comment on that, else my comment will be erased. Suffice to say, methods go in favour of oled devices here.
