    Guys i bhave a desire 816
    It is updated to 6.0
    Quite unxpctd as it is a midranger.
    Phones released along with it like xperia t2 ultra and grand 2 didnt got any update or stable update.
    But htc updates are perfect which makes them perfect.
    Samsung apple sony intentionally release unstable updates to force users to buy a new device.
    Thatswhy htc is very good in updates and quick too.
    For a midranger it was way ahead of other companies upper mid rangers.

      Give them some time. Before the One M9+/ME, all HTC MTK phones were ODM designs with ODM software. The M9+, ME and E9+ are the first time HTC developed and experienced MTK designs with its in-house teams. They will release the M update sooner or later. N update, however, depends on whether MediaTek has plans for the Helio. From what I know, Helio P10 and Helio X10 will get N but really nothing more.

                AnonD-428442, 19 May 2016Yeah? And where is HTC? On the floor bleeding. HTC's track ... moreSpeaking of updates, I have LG G3 D855 international version, unlocked, I was waiting for 6.0 M update via OTA or PC Suite, nothing happened, since I have Mac I finally went to find some Windows computer and install PC Suite on it and guess what? Update was waiting to be dowloaded and installed! LG didn't bother to make button for cheking and updating software on PC Suite for Mac only for Windows! I can only transfer photos, videos and contacts. I went mad but what to do? I'm in Serbia.

                  What about the E9+? It should get the update as well. Why does HTC throw their handsets under the bus with little or no support. Quite upsetting.

                    IMO just like Dell selling laptop with DOS and giving freedom to user of choosing OS;
                    Mobile manufacturer should start selling phone with powerful spec and let OS comes from popular custom rom makers, that will be great for end users. As users can get latest and greatest from Android at the earliest.

                        Anonymous, 19 May 2016It got 2 years of support and went from Jellybean to Kitkat... moreLike I said, it didn't even get full lollipop support, only got to 5.0.2. 5.1 was released in February/March 2015. HTC One M7 was out in March 2013. So no, it did not even get 2 years of support.
                        How is that any better than the other OEMs? Even my Xperia Z1 got 5.1.1.
                        The HTC One was a flagship model. I expect flagship support for the price. If not, then why bother paying $$$? I'll just get a Xiaomi for fraction of the price and update it myself via custom ROM.

                        HTC is losing money year-on-year. Tells you who's failing.

                                Excellent. HTC are really trying and the build brilliant.
                                Ever since we bought 3 x A9 the updates are on time.
