    Wow some many negative comments.. I have a priv and it's a really good phone. It doesnt matter if it's 808 or 820, 615 or 652 , all u need is enough processing power and they have a very good way of implementation. They make android look like stock and add useful UI on top of it. All they need to do is to give it an affordable price and I think they are there.. Except for some blackberry haters and fans of some specific brand. I don't see any real negative comments. Anyway apple was never known for spec, it's theirs comprehensive product and with priv I feel the same. Way to go BlackBerry!!!

      Yes,they are aiming for the midrange sector,cause obviously they realized,that they have zero chance at the flagship category against Samsung,Apple,or Lg.The problem is,that 99%,that they gonna ask for a price tag,that is WAY ABOVE their competitors at this sector.If they ask for less than 200$,than they gonna make it,but they will ask WAY MORE than that.Considering that you can buy an Lg g4 for 290$,this phone worth less than 200.Its a safe bet,that they will ask for about 350-400$,minimum.

        AnonD-442781, 19 May 2016'Competitively priced' won't be taking into account the wor... moreI'm just trying to be reasonable. It is very easy to say this will be a rubbish phone - even for midrange - but until we get the final product we won't know.
        The 615 will still be a cheaper option than any 8** SD so maybe that was a factor.
        'Competitive' is also a...safe term I guess, what they consider reasonable and what the rest of us consider reasonable are usually 2 very different things.
        This isn't going to be cheap but it may be cheap enough to entice customers.

        What I'm saying is, who knows? On paper is very different to real life. It's easy to dismiss a phone but I don't think we should. At least not yet. These guys do have a very good history after all.

        I'm not arguing for or against at this point but I do think it is unfair to say that this will be rubbish as a lot of commenters are doing. I'm trying to keep the balance.

              Why these people cannot release Dual sim phones. Never cannot come up if they can't in line with market demand. Dual sim phones will give an extra milage to build the market. BLACKBERRY should do a different work to come up again. Business sector needs Blackberry priv standard with dual sim facility.

                RC255, 19 May 2016Let's right some wrongs, shall we? First; The images prov... more'Competitively priced' won't be taking into account the worse specs. That was the whole point of moving to low end phones after all. If they were interested in releasing a comparatively priced phone that took into account the hardware, they would've still made a high end phone and sold it for less too, but that's obviously not what they're doing.

                The sd615 is worse than the sd801 from 2014. You would be very likely to encounter problems with it.

                      It is supposed to be a mid-ranged pticed phone. Not surprised that they would hold back on a few things. Good specs so far.

                          Let's right some wrongs, shall we?
                          First;
                          The images provided to GA were not official in any way, shape or form. The Hamburg - this one - was designed from 'internal device sketches' so is no indication of design or looks, just a maybe.
                          Second;
                          Blackberry have openly stated that they're aiming at the midrange after their acknowledged flop that was the Priv. These specs are very midrange so why are people expecting more?
                          Third;
                          Price was a big issue with the Priv, so the likely-hood is that this will be 'competitively' priced - what you take that to mean is up to you but bear that in mind when looking at the specs.
                          Finally;
                          Considering Blackberry's main market is business-centric they have aimed the specs accordingly. Obviously the chipset is not the best, as many people have readily pointed out already on here. However, it - matched with 3gb RAM and 16gb internal - is plenty for what it is meant for. This is NOT a gaming phone. It is meant for office-like work. Editing documents, sending emails and being a phone.
                          If you don't like the specs, don't buy it.
                          If you don't like my comments, don't reply. It's my view on what could actually be a worth-it phone. End.

                                  SD615? Seriously? This phone should have at least SD625! That's a power efficient native octa-core with all 8 cores running at 2GHz, and that because it's build on 14nm. It also has 4K video recording, X8 modem and better/newer Adreno 506 GPU. Why are you shooting yourself in the foot, BB?

                                      A complete letdown if this is true. Because in typical Blackberry fashion it's gonna be priced higher than a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and yet specced a lot worse than my Redmi 3 that I'm using right now. This is utterly abysmal.
