As a Apple (iphone4)user previous and semi retired and income minimal presently, Samsung gave me one of the most powerful phones to renew our 2yr contract.
The phone is not hard to figure out and has a lot of features that apple does not have at present.
I like the size, the quality of pictures, waterproof, edge features, Battery size(3600 M/ap), good voice recognition, battery saving modes, camera modes, its fast and has a memory storage slot if needed.
I bought a otterbox strada case with it because there are not to many cases to protect its screen(the weakest area of the phone in my opinion),Screen saver problem at present because of the curved glass.
Its a beautiful powerful phone in Canada.(Apple is coming out with the iPhone 7- I might of bought that one but the down payment would be huge because of memory.)

    One last thing I would like to add is that the S7 and Edge have two versions. Exynos and SD820.. The exynos being the far superior choose to the SD820 in everything but GPU performance.

    They need to actually seperate the Exynos and SD820 version in this poll to get an accurate reading since those with the Exynos version not only get better performance and optimization, they also get better battery life.

    If you compared just the Snapdragon version of the S7 you'd probably see vastly different results with other phones coming close if not beating the Snapdragon version.

    Since I live in the US, unless I want to go through the hassle and headache of getting an exynos version of the S7, I'm stuck with the SD820 version, which is ultimately why I chose the HTC 10 because to me it's the best of the SD820 phones in terms of overall user experience and performance.

    Again, they're two different phones when you compare the experiences people have between the Snapdragon and Exynos S7's.

      See? Even though the X Performance wasn't released yet, people are now starting to like it. Even the Xperia X is now starting to be liked by many people. Once the X Performance would be released, I doubt people would fall in love with it

              To each his own. The S7 Edge is a great phone for a totally different reason than why the HTC is a great phone.

              For those that like a minimalist look, snappy software, great audio, lots of UI customization, don't like a lot of added software, and need something that don't need a big screen, and like to root and such.. HTC wins hands down. For those that want a great looking phone and great, big display, big battery, and need water and dust resistance, and don't mind touchwiz with the additional set of software (bloat to some) and actually use some of it, and want a super quick camera then the S7 wins hands down.

              IMO I chose the 10 because I like its size, and to me the design is just as nice as the Edge. Sure it's not in your face gorgeous, but to me it stands out with its subtle look. It gets me through the day, and is easy to take out and put in my pocket and I like that I can custom tailor my UI to something I like, not something preset.. Even with the theme store from Samsung you're limited to what the developers created, and some even cost money and not every theme is going to fit everyone.

              I do miss my S Health program, but after playing with the new Sense UI it's just hard to justify going back to Touchwiz.

                        As much as I like the S7e design, though I prefer not so round devices, boy I hate TouchWiz design. And now to find out that you can't root the device (crapply style) without loosing Knox it just confirmed to me that I'm never gonna buy one.
                        My plans were to buy either the S7e or the X Performance. It seems I'm going with the X Performance after all. Sony even provides on their website a step by step method for unlocking the bootloader, though you can root the device with locked bootloader like I did on my XZ.
                        I'm too much into rooting, debloating, changing dpi and other customizations to have a stock Android.
                        Sammy turned into being the crapple of Android and this is why many people lean towards other brans..
                        So if you want an iPhone with android, go with Sammy. If you want a real Android, the source-free we all love, go with Sony, HTC or even LG. I can't wait for Nokia and Project Ara to be released!

                          I respect that...prefer sense to touchwiz when it comes store customizations..but prefer touchwiz because of the features..
                          Bought the s7 edge last week...it's awesome. .

                                And secondly you called me a fanboy, so I was wondering.

                                  okay...so after weeks of going through reviews and comments..i have done it..i have gone out and bought one of these.....
                                  wanted a silver one to decreases fingerprints....but no stock..and the retailer rightly pointed out...i'm gonna put a case on it anyway...and i have to tell you the pics are nothing...the edge is a beauty...that said, the usability of the edge is questionable....at best it gives an infinity edge display, i can't watch videos on mxplayer without suddenly fastforwarding or changing the volume...camera quality is okayish..but the processor is blazingly fast(on international version)...will update with more details if anyone wants...

Sony actually has more reputation here in ph than Samsung used to be when it comes to branding but since their existence is likely struggling here, they likely loosing their name and game here too! also I agree about low mid end things that Samsung sales a lot, But I'm talking about the high-end segment at this point not with that low end, mid etc...when we talked about high-end, Apple and Samsung actually almost tied at this level. S7 Edge is more expensive than iPhone 6S here.
