HTC Desire and Nexus One to ditch AMOLEDs for S-LCD screens

HTC is experiencing some problems sourcing enough AMOLED screens for its devices and it has finally find a solution - switching to LCD displays by S-LCD Corporation, a joint-venture of Samsung and Sony...

Just because it has an "S" in front, it is still LCD. It doesn't mean it would win a fight between AMOLED!. Come on, no screens have ever come close to the rich, vibrant Colour/Brightness and did I mention viewing angle of AMOLED. Although..I am prepared to eat my words. lol.

    That means that nexus one and desire next time will be packed with S-LCD instead of AMOLED? Better go get a AMOLED nexus one now. BTW, i dont think they will continue launching nexus one/desire for a long time. They can start to retire already as similar phone specs phone keep popping out in the market.

      Just wondering how will they ditch AMOLEDs for S-OLED on Nexus 1 if they Google has stopped to produce them ????????

        ?? and what about customer already have preordered those devices with AMOLED? Shall HTC return money back if purchase is cancelled?

          hmm not a big fan of HTC but i wont knock somthing i haven't tried.
