the main strategy of nokia is its trying to fight low end touch screen dumbphones of samsung and lg...like cookie series....corby series by introducing low and mid range smart phones..like 5250 5530 5233 5235 c6.....so dont expect a 1ghz cpu.....gpu or more ram.....because nokia low and mid range smart phones are better than those lowsy dumbphones

Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro 720 MHz, PowerVR SGX graphics 128 MB. both same price, same symbian, symbian own by nokia

They are maximizing economies of scale in production of components. How else could you possible make smartphones so cheap. Besides 434mhz is sufficient for s60. My n95 8gb has 3 ? ?mhz but that doesn't stop it from rocking.

And what is with FixedFocus $hit ? Why not AutoFocus ? (since 6303i, all low-middle phones from Nokia have FixedFocus).... Damn, for 100 $ better buy N95 second hand ... exept for lack of touchscreen, N95 is much better than all the "new" phones these days from Nokia

my point is the main hardware, can u see it same main hardware only the different is shape, screen size, wifi, 3G, GPS and bla bla, OS still Symbian OS v9.4 with different apps that come with it ( i think nokia using same main board to sell all touch phone model they sold with different price) NOKIA is good hehehehehe

what other phones do with 600mhz, symbian does with 434mhz
because symbian was made from scratch and optimized for mobile phones, so its the most efficient os
1ghz processor would be nice, but useless in symbian, especially with nHD screen.
its a known fact from android, eg games run more smoothly on hvga 600mhz phone than 1ghz wvga htc desire
also, please understand that smartphones come in various shapes and sizes, not all are high-end
