$790 ??? really

      Well said. facts are bit too different than the theory. average salary based on the data govt/ survey agency has in record. Except few farmers (not the jamindars) and salaried employees all have black money to buy these stuffs. Also, $200 is the entry level salary in most of the MNCs for interns. I think these companies eye on those who earn good money to buy these jewels. Because the population in India is the key, even if 2% people these phones, companies will have floating profit

          Terrible step by HTC.It is priced really closer to Galaxy s7 edge.Fail

            $790? wtf!!! Why would I settle for such price from non iconic brand? There is a lot of smartphone out there that much better build and design like this and yet much cheaper price from other OEM... I would go for Samsung or Apple for that price point... Seriously, HTC 10 dont deserved even $300 pricetag, the HTC itself must not price their any smartphone as Apple or Samsung no matter how good they are!!! I know 10 has better build but at least S7 used to be as status symbol like iphone

                  $790?
                  Good luck HTC. Yes, most Indian people income is not as high as other country. Also don't forget they also think critically, compare with other product before buy it. They only buy a good quality product with the BEST VALUE. Some rich people will buy Samsung or Iphone even though expensive for status symbol.

                    Seeing specs at such price is very laughable. htc is just looting Indian customers by providing poor specs with such price tag.
                    Seriously! 652SC instead of 820SC of htc 10 international variant for a 53k INR???
                    Only stupid rich brats and fanboys gonna waste such money!
                    God bless htc! Definitely gonna face bankruptcy in couple of years.

                          Average Salary of Indians = 300$
                          HTC 10 cost = 790$
                          LG G5 cost = 790$
                          S7 edge = 820$
                          S7 = 730$

                          The average Indian cannot afford these phones. But thx to companies like Xiaomi, OnePlus. We can have high end specs for a reasonable cost.

                                  I do feel sorry for customers in India about the pricing! $790 is more like what they charge in the UK. The phone is really good though! I own it and it is just a pleasure to look at and to use.

                                        I'm wondering why all people from India complaining about the high price, i think you should blame your tax system & customs who charge big amounts of money. It's not a secret that India has one of the highest custom fees in the world & i think that's the main issue. You need to ask yourselves why all imported smartphones are too pricey, blame your customs & tax system
