guys and girls...the most important things about having a phone is what you need it for... not for being in the trend... or what's hot on the market.. it's a matter of personal preference... (V)

SymbianOS is no need to use more ram to running applications..680Mhz prosessor to run symbian apps is faster juz b'coze many of powerful, useful symbian applications is in small size..not more than 12Mb..

Now NOKIA N8 used 680Mhz processor is more in 720p video shooting,gaming..

So..SymbianOS is not so outdated as peopl e said..and you gotto know..now is juz N8-00,who know again the N8-01,N8-02 or N9,N10,N12 ??

      Again..likes I said before..

NOKIA IS THE NOKIA..NOKIA COMPANY KNOW WHAT THEY DO..NOT LIKES OTHER BRAND COMPANY (APPL E)..APPL E ONLY MADE ONE PHONE 0NE YEAR..NOKIA IS THE BIGGEST BRANDED PHONE COMPANY..OF COURSE THEY CAN MADE A SUPER POWER FLAGSHID NOW..BUT THEY WONT..THIS IS THEIR STRATEGY..

I think those stupi d guy who always like to bashing/throwing/critic is such as a FOOL EVER..LOL

I dont understand why people complaining about the processor speed and amount of ram. But I will explain it cause some people just too slow. Look at Ubuntu linux and Windows vista. Vista needs 1GB ram to run comfortably however Ubuntu just needs 512MB to run comfortably. Same as in processor speed. Plus with slower processor and less ram you save on battery.
I have a laptop running windows 7 and ubuntu (dual boot). I have 1GB ram and Ubuntu starts as soon as i touch the power button, it just surprises me everytime. Now windows 7 although it boots faster than vista takes 5 times longer than ubuntu.
SO do you see why specs cant tell all. Wait for the phone to be realesesed before you complain. So learn something and please stop with the retarded remarks.

this is incredible .. 469 euros?

we have to see a proper review .. the specs are a little outdated

though, the camera should be the best among all smartphones.

but no more nokia for me :(

U know what guys and girls? this is a phone that should of been released in 2009 to compete with iphone 3gs...
ATM this phone cant compete with Samsung and even Iphone4(which i hate)

Symbian is not CPU clock speed and RAM hungry. Why these d*ckheads are still complaining about the 680MHz and 256MB RAM?! I think that they doesn't read the full specs of this phone. Low CPU clock and low RAM capacity? What a dumb judgement...

END of semptember?! seriously? and still with an outdated 680mhz processor? a puny 256mb ram? 360x640 resolution? and still the same boring ugly UI? lol. they took ages just for this phone? windows 7 series phones and gingerbread would have been announced in phones. and september is supposed to be the month of high-end announcements. EPIC FAIL.

no wonder this company has been closing down their flagship stores, loosing a huge 40% profit drop, rapid declining market share, developers loosing interest, and has failed to impress with it's high-end department for almost 4 years now. and now all these nokia fanbois are crying their ass off bashing apple cause theyre scared as hell. :))

REST IN PEACE SYMBIAN AND NOKIA.

John, 29 Jul 2010Nokia that's the way. IFans, just dump the freaking Flaw... moreSuch a low resolution screen, you can buy a cheap LG phone with a better screen, faster processor, more RAM.

444€ see how Nokia scam their sheep, they said it would be 370€ typical desperate move to more make money.

Olli Pekkahead has them all brainwashed.

iPhone 4 is great as is Samsung Galaxy S.

This is the phone of this decade. Great camera, the best OS in terms of functionality, a phone you can make calls on, fantastic build quality that means data connections dont drop and most importantly of all proper customer support.

Symbian has reached 1 billion users. Apple Iphones are in the hands of 0.7% of the population. The reason being that iphones have been lagging behind in terms of technology since their inception (copy and paste anyone, 3g video calling??) and rely solely on iOS UI which is fantastic.

Nokia and Samsung will continue to be the leaders. With Symbian, Android and BB OS being the thought and concept leaders.

Today I sold my iPhone, as did three other friends. Apple will continue to lose market share and users as they have been for over a year now with products that promise so much but fail to deliver, high prices and a lack of respect for their customers.

Apple: move into the 21st century. Make your customers feel supported, look at the latest technologies available, look at prices v market segment and move a way from this horrible locked down, proprietary OS that restricts users so much that I might as well dust down my Amiga.

Too late Nokia, Samsung have already delivered the Smartphone of the year with the Galaxy S. A new OS, plus outdated tech means FAIL. Remember the iphone 2G? All hype and it was awful.

If this was an Android device, it would be ok.
