If Nokia want to win back there pla... moreYou are right, android is the best os nowdays but Nokia will not survive without symbian.There are millions of fans that wait a new version.Nokia has the technology to improve it and make it even better than iphone os, android etc but they do it very slowly.You see that android publices two updates each year (2.1 and 2.2) and they are both great and Symbian needs at least 2years for a new version.Even Symbian fans some day will change to something else, we like Nokia but we can't wait years to see something new.

Sad..take tooooooooooo long to release..Other manufacture will produce good phone maybe better than N8 before it release....You will lose your fan nokia............make your fan sad...waiting toooooooo long................................

I have always been a faithful Nokia User, but Nokia is now boring and not really exciting. Nokia is building reliable phones in the low to mid range (e.g C5, E63, E52))but the excitment is gone. Symbian is sluggish and outdated while the hardware is most of the time top notch. So I think Nokia needs to make their mind up when comes to the OS. Android would be fine, you can always have you own, brand related UI on it like HTC with the sense UI.
The day Nokia will produce exciting phones (and it takes more than a 12MP camera to be exciting) I will be back with them. Untill then I stay with my HTC Legend

i played with one close to retail!
Great phone, much better than what people think of it. And yea compared to the junk that was the N97 its worlds ahead!

note however that 12MP may be over kill in comparison of 5MP, but the lens quality of nokia rip apart any other company, so if u drop the 12 to a 5MP yourelf when taking pics with N8, that even alone will kill any 5MP on the market forsure
i would get n8 but since im an n97 owner looking for qwerty, the upcoming E7 and even rumoured N9 are both to have qwerty, so i wait for them. Overal i love the color selections for N8 which will be same for E7 and maybe N9 too

Nokia wonder why? there sales are down an its because of them taking that long to Produce an Finally Release Mobiles,we saw the N8 in April an October to finally see it released is too long Nokia,Apple announced the iPhone4 an 2 weeks after it was made Available an because of no competition from Nokia with the N8 it sold well,when the N8 will be released i am sure Samsung an the others will release mobiles more up to date,Nokia are just a Company who does not like Competition as they always react so Slow to Everything Nowdays an always end up being the Loses at it there own Fault

The Samsung wave has a 1 GHZ processor, a Super Amoled Screen and from the reviews on this site it also has a Great Battery and has a nice OS alongwith a good camera.
The N8 got me very excited at first but now i look at the fact that again Nokia is not up-to the mark and has
a smaller processor
not a Super Amoled screen as the wave and
the Symbian might not match up to the completeness that the BADA OS is giving to the wave.
The only thing that stands on the n8's side is the 12 mpx camera.
But we all know that The Greater mpx offers a larger picture, but does it offer a Better picture? s for me 5 mpx is big enough.
Now the n8 isn't as exciting anymore...

Nokia need to adjust their pricing on this. They promised a lower price at first but raise it again.
