this phone is meant to be low-mid range for those who don't know... especially the people who say x8(low end) vs n8(high end, flagship), what a pathetic comparison. i reckon this phone has a good design and good features for what it's designed for, the lower end market.

Wow vee, the ph is being released so late, SE shud consider having Android OS, v2.2 . What say people.
That way HTC is anytime better.
I was so close in buying the HTC Desire, but then it was announced about the change of display that is going to take place, so waiting to see what's best.
BTW, I guess by the time SE X8 gets Android OS, v2.2, by then HTC wud b on Android OS, v3(Ginger Bread). Although phones like HTC wilfire, would not be able to handle Android OS, v3, but that's a whole different story all together, atleast it can handle Android V 2.2, which it would be getting shortly and it comes pre-installed with Android OS, v2.1.

Well UK O2 X8 owners shouldn't expect much in the way of firmware updates when SE make them available. Im still waiting for the X10 firmware upgrade (unlike other network users) and O2 Customer services don't even know anything about it!

from the spec, it is almost similar to LG optimus. X8 better in video (30 fps while Optimus only 17 fps) and little bit better in browser zooming. LG can play Xvid but still limited
so the price should not much different from LG Optimus (around US$260 in my country). But this is SE, so I think X8 will be more than US$300 (I hope I'm wrong) after tax in Indonesia

will be release with android 1.6 or 2.1 , if 1.6 then will be updated to 2.1 within a few weeks after releasing , no any promising on 2.2 , with SE i thinh it take more than half year to get 2.2

classy design with interchangeable covers for a good price that offers Android. nice phone from se. gonna be selling good for sure.
