After MS tries to install windows 10 on its customers computers at all costs, against their will, and not letting them even CANCEL the update dialog??? No way. We're boycotting windows, and are moving onto Linux/Android desktop slowly...

Guys, give Windows a chance. It isn't so bad. It's Great! I've been using WP for years now and. I've used iOS and Android before WP and I find it to be better than the two.

                  "...Expanding the Xiaomi-Microsoft partnership..."
Sure, you mean the Microsoft blackmail. Like: "you insert our Office or we sue your ass off!"

"....Microsoft said, “People want their favorite apps and experiences to work seamlessly on the device of their choice..."

Oh yeah? And what's to say that Office is my "favorite app" on a phone? It isn't! I don't want it! I rather have a good racing game than boring office stuff. Skype is alright if it isn't hasling me too much and if doesn't spy on me! Otherwise Microsoft keep your shit!

Just root the phone and delete all apps you don't want (to use).
I've done it with all my Samsung phones and my Chineese Bluboo Fire2, Bluboo Xtouch and Oukitel K6000 Pro.

Skype preinstalled? AND the MS office? This is horrible. the size of MS office applications (if you have a look on the play store) is nearing 100MB each. I usually like most XIAOMI's products, their pricing, etc, but strongly oppose this decision.

Skype preinstalled, for many of us means having to flash custom rom, to eradicate all the roots of this outdated and invasive piece of software.

It may work well within its own closed environment, but that environment is not appealing enough for most people. Their 3rd party apps basically have no support, and WP on its own can't cover all the angles.

This is probably how Windows Mobile will end up, no OS, just apps for Android and iOS.
