AadiRizvi, 07 Jun 2016Well G4 is a 2014 phone it must get the 6.0 update atleast.... moreThanks for your reply.

I received my Marshmallow 6.0 update this morning.

Too early to check for bugs (it looks the same to be honest apart from the phone telling me its Marshmallow 6.0).

AnonD-64830, 06 Jun 2016My husband and I have LG G4 and our friend has LG flex G2. ... moreWell G4 is a 2014 phone it must get the 6.0 update atleast. Xperia Z3 is of the same age as the G4 and it is currently on 6.0.1 and Android N is also expected on it.

Apparently No one here reads the comments b4 getting posted. otherwise someone from GSMARENA would have screamed about ATT for not releasing marshmallow for Note4 till now!
It's about to be old version for God's Sake!

AnonD-20959, 06 Jun 2016Sony xperia m4 aqua dual is just one year old hardly still ... moreI have a sony SP (mid-range) and they didn't even updated to 4.4 kit kat. Sony don't do a good job with mid-range phones like they do with the Z series (and probably with X series).

Sony xperia m4 aqua dual is just one year old hardly still it is running on 5.0 and still I am waiting for marshmallow update whereas android has started rolling out of Android N for developers, so i am very disappointed from Sony.

My husband and I have LG G4 and our friend has LG flex G2. Our G4s from 3 UK are still stuck on Android 5.1 and our friends phone is unlocked unbranded sim free model and is on virgin mobile. His phone is stuck on Android 5.1.1.
3 say still testing marshmallow on G4 say this update causing problems with the handset, yet the LG G4c on 3 apparently has marshmallow at moment and it's a cut down model. Methinks Either LG or the phone networks don't want to spend on updates.

You can't expect another update after this one, that's how its always been. Sony is hardly a trailblazer so I wouldn't expect them to do anything different to the competition.

There were rumors even before that that Z2 isnt going to make it in the list for Marshmallow but guess what Sony surprised its Z2 users by giving them Marshmallow 6.0 even though the phone had completed its 2 years update life. A 6.0.1 is likely to come on the Z2 but Android N seems difficult but you never know Sony.

Samsung clearly plays dirty when it comes to updates. It releases its updates too late even if its a last year flagship. My S5 got MM but i still don't see the Camera2 API. The point is, all sammy cares about is bloating the market and forgetting about them after a year or two. Google really needs to step up its update regulations.
