But objective tests on anandtech and displaymate, and every other place that attempts to do objective tests, shows that Samsung's samoled is currently the most accurate display in the mobile market.

The best thing ... moreAmoled currently gives the most accurate displays (not over-saturated), the most efficient, best viewing angles and sunlight legibility, infinite contrast, and issues like burn-in just don't occur anymore. It is also thinner and allows for a bigger battery or a thinner phone.

Note6, 04 Jun 2016These phones are more or less use and throw types for one y... more@Note6

Samsung is the WORST in Software updates. They are late always and they completely left Note3 users and S3 users hanging out to dry.

I've used Galaxy S, S3 and Note 3 myself so I know this.

Xiaomi has the BEST support and they sell pretty much the same hardware as Samsung (sans the camera optics/module and the wonderful AMOLED display) for HALF the price.

Because of this, Samsung is risking a slow bleed-to-death decline - just like Nokia.

There is a huge influx of 300-450USD top-spec phones coming out that match or in some case exceed the specs of S7 (and perhaps, Note6/7).

It will be very difficult for Samsung to sell their overpriced wares unless they seriously step up in the support department, or deliver hardware that NOBODY has. Apple knows this and actually does it.

Neither is likely to happen with Samsung any time soon.

The best thing about AMOLED is battery life, take that out and it is not so great. Sure it has reached a milestone in color accuracy but over saturation although minimum. Apart from that Super LCD seems more closer to the eye, has no burn-in issues and seems more natural. I hope in some years AMOLED will catch up or maybe Super LCD will.

I might add the lack of SDcard and 3100mAh. 3500mAh should have been the minimum for a qHD LCD display.

Gone are the days of AMOLED displays having inaccurate and oversaturated colors. Plus you get a fine sipping out of battery power aside from AMOLEDs using nil areas as 'true blacks'. Viewing angles (no matter how oblique it gets) are superior while LCDs don't have a say in that.

IPS LCDs are easier to calibrate yet still has issues with power draw over time. It's easier to make, cheaper and reliable hence a common use for displays. We gotta wait for its evolution. Few years ahead might change the LCD's nature.

So, a 5.7" IPS LCD with 3000mAh will have a battery endurance of mid-satisfacory at the most.

Overall it wouldn't be too bad, but it would be really poor. Usually bigger phones have bigger batteries and a much longer battery life, but with this it'll obviously be really poor for a big phone.
