Exaggerations, 05 Jun 2016There seems to be some exaggerations and made up statements... moreI use a 950XL. And the reason Windows 10 is called beta is because it's not finished. There is no crying that it will never be finished. The fact is that MS stated it will be a 2 year project and windows 10 will be complete with redstone 2 on spring 2017. This is the mature version and this is the goal for the initial complete windows. It was released early and half finished because they wanted to start working on creating a user base. Look at Windows 10 for desktop. You have control panel/settings. A lot of stuff from old windows which is slowly being moved over to the new one. Control Panel will eventually disappear and everything will be in settings and file explorer will be modernized and all other apps. It's not finished. Simple as that. MS said it will not focus on windows mobile because it's not finished. They can't compete with ios/android. Many features are copied from MS no doubt but because the other 2 have presence and are working on an existing framework that is complete they can release them and polish things up.
Redstone 2 will be the final vision of windows 10. After that it will remain a service that gets more features/patches etc..
I use 950xl. And while I don't have that many issues, there seems to be an issue with the operating system with people having random issues and such. A lot of people need to do a factory reset and start clean to resolve issues. I wouldn't call that a functional and mature operating system. No one should have to do that, nor would your average consumer think that is needed.

MS made sure 950XL was only available through its store for those that really want to try it. It still works great it's just not finished to what they envision. The anniversary update is going to be more mature but like I said MS will not be releasing phones until Redstone 2. That's when it will be finished. And they realized that.
The HP elite is apparently only going to be available to businesses through business channels. I still think that it shouldn't be released unless they have customized and tweaked it themselves. But I guess it's like the first generation Surface. It wasn't that great but it raised some awareness and now 2-in-1's are driving market increases.
I use it because I like it and have the ability to own multiple phones. I would never recommend w10m to anyone else. My friend who had her iphone 6 stolen was using my phone wanted to get it but I told her to get the iphone 6s instead and she did.
MS is not in a position to sell anything at this point, but there is a small niche audience who will purchase them. The only reason lumia 950/xl was released because fans were hounding them for a phone after having no flagships for so long.

yeah it's a junk for a kids and people who like to take selfie and post on FB or Instagram and the one who use smart phone for gaming, chatting and social networking .

This a great phone. Microsoft really invents and innovates things that many people dont like. This is the future of windows mobile that includes tablets, hybrid, and phones. HP elite x3 and Acer jade primo showcase what windows 10 mobile is. Continuum is great and its different from android because when your phone plugs in the dock and connected to the monitor it creates a windows 10 desktop. Unlike in android its just the same huge screen size apps that are not efficient using mouse and keyboard. Its like a magnified android apps with scaling issue if use in monitors/tv. It is one of the selling points of windows 10 mobile compared to other mobile OS.

The reason it failed in the consumer market was that the video rental companies preferred the much cheaper but inferior VHS players. Hence bigger profit margins for the rental companies. On the other hand, Betamax in its pro form was a huge success in the media industry for many years after Sony stopped producing the consumer version.

1. You have the point there. Although it's not beta, and not that buggy (I've try it on my friend's phone. But it's subjective since I only use it for few hours). But yes, WP 8(.1) is still better than 10 in term of performance satisfaction.
2. Agree. More and more services which previously available on WP 8(.1) were left on W10M.
3. I don't think it's that slow on devices with 1GB ram. Not that buggy either. But there are indeed some noticeable minor bugs here and there. Given that W10M is yet another reboot (so less mature than it's competitors), technically, I don't think it's comparable with Marshmallow or latest iOS. But people never care about technical stuff. So, "slow and buggy" will always there until it's resolved by Microsoft.
4. That satisfaction rates are for WP 8(.1). Since less people using W10M (compared to WP 8), I don't think this rates also apply to W10M.
5. I don't find any comment which stating that Microsoft is locking in Users. Not your comment, nor anyone comment. I wonder what @Exaggeration point... (-_-)a

1. Windows 10 Mobile is beta in *quality*. Why? Because it's buggy & problematic. Even WP8 is a lot better and more stable than Win10M.
2. False advertisement.
3. Read #1.
4. WP8? probably, I like WP8. Win10M? nope, no one satisfied with buggy system.
5. Huh, since when Google is open? All big companies want to lock you in, no exception here.

well I'm a happy windows mobile 10 user. latest updates made the phone responsive and nearly bugless. i think microsoft is finally on track with windows mobile 10.first three official builds of windows mobile 10 were disasters. but now everything is smooth again like it wason windows 8. the only problem is slow app opening which is getting a little better after updates. this will be ok too. so in my opinion, try windows mobile 10. you will be happy and satisfied.
my and a bunch of my friends are now windows mobile users.

saw it in singapore and found the screen to be excellent - possibly on par with s7 edge. The speakers are dual - one huge one at the last portion of fascia and the other one the earpiece. Camera is (like many windows devices) slow. For a 6-inch device, the size is big but somewhat manageable. Good job, overall, though.

Windows 10 mobile is not in beta, or prelease anymore. There final release came long time ago. Each week there is new insider build add new features to the final version while updates are added to current branch higher than final release build.

The phones that are sold with Windows 10 Mobile pre-installed works fine. Like Microsoft Lumia 550. And the system are stabile now with the latest updates.
