Samsung are amazing at producing phones. Why don't they product an identical spec tablets? For example an identical tablet with identical spec as a Note 7. The only difference is 16:9 would be perfect.

Android tablet sales... moreApple is the one who popularized it in the first place, Apple users don't mind wasting their money for an Apple product as long as it's worth it. iPad's are pretty good and sold well in the beginning, Android tablets are unappealing because it's just a blown up smartphone interface with little to no app optimization, it's nothing a good phablet can't replace especially since a lot of tablets (like the TS3) are now under-spec'd. If you're serious about getting some real work and gaming done laptops/desktops/all-in-ones/hybrids are the way to go.

Android tablet sales actually rose for certain companies. It's mostly ipad sales that plummet because nobody wants to shell out $800 for a f#%^ING tablet. There's plenty of money to be made in the tablet market if you play it smart. Let the high end ($1000+ tablets) be for Microsoft and conquer the mid end ($400-$500 tablets) while the low end is belonging to chines already ($100-$200 tablets).

It's obvious Samsung lost faith in the tablet industry, they have the ability to release a spec'd out Tab S3 if they wanted to but it's not worth it since sales continue to plummet.

Tab S still waiting for 6.0 when Android N is about to release. Tab Pro series was long forgotten. and those were great tablets. I think tab s2 still on 5.0..

Note 10.1 > Tab S > Tab S2 > Tab S3
2013 > 2014 > 2015 > 2016

To upgrade from My Faithful elegant TAB S 1
We need 16:9 widescreen "stop useless old outdated 4:3 "
& please a camera of 12 MPixel @ least with flash & 5 Mpixel front
4 GB RAM @least or much better like 6GB & I will pay for that I swear
CPU like Snapdragon 823 or more than Exynos 8890
S-PEN S-PEN S-PEN S-PEN For worldwide success sake & for your own sake Samsung
& trust me Samsung you will demolish apple if you introduce 4K screen resolution in it
Battery not less than 6000 mAh & of new technology "like a blast very fast charging"
AS a spec of high end flagship tablet then the memory must not be less than 64 GB
& of course able to be expandable to 256 GB option
we are in 2016 going to 2017 .. don't copy tab s2 & don't fall in fail ...
just be the lead & the better than any other company >> be the best
Best tablets you have made in their time are Tab S 1 "2014" & Tab 7.7 2011

Tab S had 3 GB RAM! That was in 2014!! Tab S2 and Tab S3 are definitely skip-worthy! Disappointing from Samsung!

Also in tablets you can install Linux via chroot (in phones it is useless) to produce some real work, there powerful SoCs matter too... Tablets need the power, it's not at all showing off...

Tab S3, benchmarks more, but performs worse, like any sd 650 phone compared to a note 4.
