Seems like that countdown timer was the countdown timer until the X10 is available in USA? It seems to be gone now when i click on the link from the article, instead i am presented with a screen introduces the X10 as being now available...Funny, a so-caled 1st world country like the US seems to get these handsets after so-called 3rd world countries? lol...

Anonymous, 09 Aug 2010Have you even owned an iphone.. ipod?? Idiot my gf has an iphone because she thinks its pretty... isnt that why most girls have one?

if you even think an ipod has great music quality you obviously know nothing... you can argue its a great all in one for internet/farmville-ish games/average music quality/ average video play back

facts are cowon had a 50 hour battery life AND 10 hour video life before ipod even came out with the ipod nano... and when ipod finally got that kinda playback cowon had an AMOLED screen and even better battery life... so anyone who want to listen to music wont do it on their phone or ipod if their care about quaily.. grab a pair of westone 3's and tell my how good you music sounds then?

ipod is the best music player for dirt cheap.. if your gonna buy an ipod touch why not just pay same amount or less for a cowon s9 which is 10 times better sound. cant stand the sound coming out of an ipod or iphone all the fuzz in the background not even crisp...

anyways the countdown was just for the x10 (smarter the iphone) comming to the USA.

[deleted post] hahah if ANY phone is out of date it's the iblow. it's barley catching up to day's standard but it took FOREVER to get MMS, imitation multi-tasking, photo & video editing, the list goes on and on...all for a phone on a CLOSED SOURCE. screw the iblow, android is here to stay.

When is SE going to understand that this business is all about selling phones not just announcing and teasing...

                      XPERIA X10 countdown unveiled,
                      U.S. launch imminent
The wait is finally almost over!
SONY has put up a countdown on
                      their SONY Style website today
which is due to expire tomorrow
morning. The page itself doesn ’t
give off many clues besides the
back side of a phone which looks
                      strikingly similar to the SONY
                      Ericsson XPERIA X10. Since I
                      personally don ’t like playing
                      guessing games, a little digging
around in the source code gives
me the confidence to say that this
is definitely the countdown for the
                      U.S. unveiling of the X10. It ’s
                      exciting to see another Android
phone with a 1GHz processor and
4 inch display thrown into the
                      mix, though SONY Ericsson is
more than a tad late to the party.
                      The XPERIA X10 was first
                      announced back in early
                      November of 2009, nearly 9
months ago. At the time, the X10
would have been the first Android
                      phone to feature a 1GHz
                      processor, but after numerous
delays due to software issues, the
X10 finally made it ’s European
debut in mid February . Though
                      the hardware and exterior design
                      of the handset are phenomenal,
                      the SONY Ericsson has been
                      criticized for still using the
Android 1.6 platform to run the
X10, while most other high end
                      Android phones are running
Android 2.1 or even Android 2.2.
We ’re not exactly sure if the SONY
Ericsson XPERIA X10 is heading to
                      T-Mobile, or AT&T, and it’s hard to
say which version of Android it’ll
                      be running. We suggest checking
back in tomorrow morning to find
                      out.
