'Touchscreen of an unkown size.' Mark my words, this device will have a 3.2" screen. That much is obvious from the huge bezel around it. Another rehash of the 5800. Nokia needs to find a way of making affordable S^3 touchscreen smartphones instead of beating S^1 into the ground.

anyways when i was using wifi on my n80, iphone was not even around.
The only other company that had them was sony ericsson with their p series. I'm probably sure other manufacturers had them too but no one cared.

If you look at the size of the 3.5mm Audio Jack in comparison to the size of the screen and take into account the angle of the phone, assuming the specifications on the drawing are true-to-life, it appears that this will either be a 3 inch or a 3.2 inch Touchscreen

people this phone is competing samsung corby series, lg cookie and samsung genoa. it will be better than its competitors because of better resolution and thousands of applications support because it is a symbian.

well with a price 0f 100 euros, and it would get more cheaper after launch this is a pefect buy for those who want a good touch screen, music camera phone.well it even looks slim.with no wifi and no gps can make you understand that nokia has tried to make a cheaper or perhaps cheapest touchscreen phone.so thats not a issue .guys wanting to have wifi and gps.can hook around other 5xxx series.the only thing that pinched me was thers a no flash, as it looks in the image, nokia could have added a small led bulb and that could have made a perfect phone in this range.weel this phone is overall awesome acc to its price but this definately is not a smartphone, but it may have multitasking capabilities,

because of phones like this, nokia and symbian are still number 1 in the world

i would say 90% (or more) of people who buy smartphones dont understand what that means and/or dont use gps/wifi

if you want a high-end nokia phone, n900 and n8 (still waiting, nokia) are all you need.
nokia is the only maker of cheap smartphones, other companies should look up on nokia

Jay, 11 Aug 2010I never said that Android was trying to make cheap phones. ... morehmmm. the phones are in reality different(even if it doesn't seems so)\
im using a 5530 and it perfectly suit my situation:
3g is really crap in my country=> no need for 5800(plus its bulky)
2mp looked a little too low so no 5230(plus no flash)
                                    i dont need gps

each one will buy according to what they need.
about the RAM: with some firmware updates, some of the ram could be freed(even if its a small amount, its still good to have more free RAM)(updating to v20 gave me 2mb, 2mb again at v30 and i noticed a difference of 1 mb with v31)
when installing the latest version of spb shell(eats less RAM) you are left with around 33MB of RAM

ALTEK LEO is the best smart-camera-phone made it ever.
