many reviewers say that the kirin chipset benchmarks higher than samsung and the rest of them. im not really sure myself. ive never done core comparisons but i have watched many reviewers compare the Huawei mate 8 to latest galaxy phones.

Huawei mate 8 CPU is good but when it comes to GPU it is so bad that it lags behind snapdragon 650 redmi note 3 which costs 200$ if not then check antutu 3d rendering adreno 510 is stronger than the Mali one in mate 8..

He wish become top dog by 2021, but need to focus with their product. Right now seem they make so many type of cell phone, because try to compete with every cell phone maker (big , medium and small) , and finally we confuse. Upgrade OS too slow, specially to non flagship cell phone even though it relatively new (Honor 5X still android Lollipop up to now).
In the US, the latest phone they sell only Nexus 6P, Honor 5X, Huawei GX8, and older cell phones. Their flagship like Mate 8, Huawei P9 are not coming yet. If they want to be top dog, they should enter US because 3rd populous country in the world and most of them need a cell phone.

According to gfxbench Manhattan 3.1, the galaxy s5 from 2014 got 12.4fps offscreen. The huawei p9 only got 10.3fps.

With Huawei, at least you can actually buy their phones. Yes, they cost more than xiaomi but the later is always OOS.

For me, I don't think so. Although Apple with their expensive gadgets and Samsung with their good tech, I don't think Huawei will beat them all. Samsung and Apple are already worked for many years now. And the Huawei phones' quality are still not okay.

And they will do it, their Huawei P9 which i own and the Nexus 6P made by Huawei are amazing phone, wouldn't trade my P9 for anything, the Nexus 6P i bought and thinking of giving to my gf.

Novage, 11 Jun 2016No QHD display is an huge advantage, and their gpu are extr... moreNot having QHD is an advantage but not if u want to compare it to what other top brands like HTC, SAMY, LG are offering (remember VR and how it needs QHD or even 4K Display smartphones for better experience). U dont understand wt im trying to say, do you. Xiaomi mi5 has similar specs as P9 ( same display size n resolution, same 3000 battery) only difference is P9 using kirin 955 and xiaomi mi5 using sd820. Then how come p9 has 75 hrs endurance and mi5 has 92hrs. sd820 is more efficient and more powerfull at the same time, specially in modem too, e.g. Try using 3g, 4g internet on kirin and ur battery will finish in under 7hrs, while htc10 sd820 even with QHD and 3000 battery will do above 8hrs, y is that ? N i loved mate 8 but it has a below average camera by a flagship standard, n gpu is not only used for gaming but also for other graphical purposes. Meaning huawei cant cut corners. They have to work on each n every aspect of mobile to make it a proper flagship like HTC10.
