i believe that samsung has been releasing some of the best phones on the market as of late. having the best sales numbers doesn't mean that you have the "BEST" phone on the market. as for the iphone, i can't stand that phone. i think the galaxy s is far better than the iphone4. that's my opinion, and many people will agree with me. sure, the sales of the iphone are higher, but there is no competition when it comes to the iOS. as for android OS, there is alot of competition, causing the phones to evolve much faster than the iphone. apple has put themselves in a bad position, cause they won't be able to keep up with the evolving phones being released on the other OS. android, and wp7, will be supported by a number of phone manufacturers... whereas iOS will be supported by only apple. and android, and hopefully WP7 offer much more customization options to the users, as compared to the plain old iphone. i am psyched about samsung supporting wp7, as i am a zune/xboxlive member. it would be awesome to put it all on one device. but microsoft does need to pull out all the stops to be successful. cause with iOS, android and RIM BlackBerry, they have their work cut out for them. it's going to be a rough road, but microsoft is a company that can pull it off. the xbox has become highly successful, and most people thought it would fail within a year. and it sounds like they have the support of a number of manufacturers, and a fanbase willing to adopt early. if they play their cards right, wp7 could become the top OS in our smartphones. but it will take some time.

for the love of god, This is pointless. who gives a damn about samsung versus whoever the hell it is now. its about personal preference. i admit, I'm not a samsung fan and have had many go wrong, but theres a reason millions buy them is there not?
HTC offer a minimalist, business like approach to their designs. They are well built, elegantly designed and offer some great universal features.
Samsung offer modern, cost effective and funky design. They are generally well built, maybe a little skimpy on materials (a lot of glossy plastics, yuck for quality feel), they generally have gorgeous high end screens (although their resistive units are a bit naff) and they are generally very affordable for their features.
Nokia make phones. Not mini computers or PDA's, phones. Good ones too. They are a bit boring, and old fashioned but they just work. I've run over a Nokia X6 twice and it works perfectly.
iPhones are elitist products, made of the highest materials, gorgeous screens and excellent hardware. the software is love or hate, but its certainly successful.
Blackberry make business phones. Ugly as hell, but very very powerful. Build quality is generally good, decent of boring OS.
Motorola have made some utter rubbish in their time. but they are really coming around. theres a reason Motorola's androids have routinely topped sales charts in the US.
The only major maker I have quarrels about is LG. but even then, my experience is bad, but there are many that are strictly LG loyal. and they are cost effective for what they are.
All these makers are simply DIFFERENT. Not better, not worse; DIFFERENT.

Each company has its own target & progress. Nokia still stuck with 434Mhz buried in every 5800, N97, X6, C6..U-sick and selling CHEAP. Iphone is boom for its UI and expensive marketing. Most of iPhone user i've met only utilize below 25% of its potential. Mostly bought for style! Damn good marketing. Price to Spec? - Others phone easily better. I think May*&*k is a phone seller who has 4 smartphone from 4 great company and each of it smarter than her. Sorry that's too obvious.

honestly i dont know if the new wp7 its gonna be god but one thing im sure its all those new wp7 looks soooooo! ugly and square very very ugly and the UI its so simple and boring thats why htc wants to make there own style cause these one really soxs

They also provide the chips that some of these smartphones use. I wonder what you think of the other companies who Samsung supplies parts to.

i dont think samsung is great, i had an Omnia...but i m totally disappointed with that. Now i have N900, Xpheria X10 and iphnoe 3gS and i think these are far much better than Samsungs or any other cheap korean companies.

WM7 is going to be fantastic all of the upcoming devices that I have seen or heard rumors of have the potential to be market leaders.

That phone doesnt look particularly nice in my opinion and if that is the final Windows 7 interface then I think I'll pass on it and either go for Android or Apple. I have used Windows phones for the last 4 years and am currently running 6.1 on an HTC Touch HD, which I am quite happy with, although I have to say the Marketplace isn't overly impressive.

Really WP7 is a fail ahead of time. The os looks like it's trying too hard.

Don't assume that if you are unlucky with one or two that they are all like that! None of the Samsung phones I've had in the past have ever had any problems, in fact they last so long that I had to just give them away to friends and family. The only Samsung phone that I was a little disappointed with was the Omnia HD but that was due to a lack of apps as opposed to anything hardware related. I now own the Samsung WAVE which is top class.

i'm a huge HTC fan but the Galaxy S has the greatest specs in GSM phones on the market, yea thats rite better than the iphone

if u wanna buy any windows phone then acer or htc may b the good choice. oterwise i have nokia N900 it is much better. u can completely costumize it. It works on OS LINUX Maemo5

Phones are good, or,bad, depending upon individual end user's experience & how the sets are handled. Same models may have varied set of results for different users. We may only draw a conclusion,once we give a particular model enough run time & against a solid base of users. Thus, as far as self is concerned, i will like to keep my judgement reserved for the upcoming WOS-7 based Samsung phone.
