EISA Awards 2010: which are the best of the best phones in Europe

16 August, 2010
The EISA awards are out and the winners are not that unexpected. Apple, Samsung and even Sony Ericsson snatched awards in the Mobile Devices panel. There's also the traditional green award...

1. Its an award about smartphones not cameras.
2. You have to take into account innovation too, just making a phone with bests specs wont win an award. SGS has the best screen, super light, and super upgradeable, plus innovations like swype.
3. Camera and GPS at te same time? Are you spastic? Who the hell would actually classify that as important. Even so, you obviously dont have the phone because I just tried it and it worked.

I'm sure these people know a thing or two about phones and don't just blindly read specs. The N8 is impressive but , however i think its biggest limitation is symbian. Hopefully the make some massive changes and also improve their ovi. Apps arent the most important but you do need them no to compete sucessufully.

iPhone haters are so obsessed with Apple. I mean a post can come out on, lets say a new Nokia touchscreen. Within the 1st few paragraphs a paranoid poster will post something like "i hate the iPhone" or "the iPhone sucks" or anyhing like iPhone this Apple that, blah blah blah.....

Now you know why these people cannot help but bring Apple into a subject? Because they know the iPhone is really that good! They wanna deny it and wanna try and hate the product, but the iPhone is in the back of their minds like a splinter in the head. If it wasnt, why bring the iPhone into a subject huh?

Now onto the awards. Once again I must say the Samsung Galaxy is brilliant. But then again thats understandable as its so clearly inspired by the king of phones from the previous year, the iPhone 3GS. And no one can deny that even now the 3GS is still one of the best phones out there. Im not suprised the iPhone 4 hasnt won an award, because the signal issues did cause a lot of outrage. But that still hasnt stopped iPhone 4 sales and why is that? Because the iPhone 4 is a fantastic phone, probably the best touchscreen out there, and people buying this phone know it too!

But I have to give my hats off to Samsung for finally making a rival phone for the iPhone, if was to switch id definately consider it.

The latest polling on AT&T show a 1.7% dropped call rate, polling has shown the dropped call rate of the iPhone 4 is LOWER than this.

So show something that shows the iPhone 4 dropped call rate.

Antennagate is DEAD apart from the Droid 2 that is.

Also....how does it explain the fact that if AT&T is indeed so "incompetent" at providing service, (even on known fringe areas), there have never been any widespread reports of such extreme call failure rates with any other handset as with the iPhone4?

Just think about ridiculous that sounds.

Again, Apple's total sales are nothing ground-breaking whatsoever. If sales equate to success, & based on the logic of the majority of Apple consumers, then Nokia, who shipped a total of 111+ Million units in Q2 of 2010 alone, should be the most successful mobile company by leaps & bounds, but everyone knows that they are indeed struggling.

Maybe some of Apple zealots who are blinded by volume of sales equaling success, should take a remedial business & economics class before you pretend to know what the hell you are talking about.

I am just in awe that people are so blinded by Apple's hype machine, & have no qualms whatsoever with forking out almost $1000.00 for an unsubsidized mobile device, that in all reality, will be superseded by the next iteration of the iPhone. There is absolutely nothing, I repeat nothing, on the iPhone4 that makes it command such a premium price for features that are on par for today's mobile technological standards.

The Nokia N8, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC EVO 4G, Motorola Droid 2, DroidX, & MILESTONE XT720, all beat the iPhone4 on features, & handily I might add, for hundreds less, while at the same time don't require the consumer to be tied down Apple's proprietary B.S. such as USB cables, media transfers SW, basic UI customizations, & ridiculously over-priced cheap & gaudy Chinese accessories.

You can always tell the iPhone users who just aren't quite confident enough thinking they made the best choice by buying the iPhone4, with their never-ending rebuttals to anything negative posted about the iPhone4. If they truly were content with their decisions, they wouldn't be so compelled to seemingly defend to the death that the iPhone is indeed the best mobile on the market.....LOL
