Upgraded to Android M by Downloading firmware. Was working great though app transfer on SD card was missing. One fine morning I discovered bluetooth was missing too. Found out that its a common issue with firmware for Android M. Downgraded to Android L again by downloading firmware. Now bluetooth would never switch off !!???!
Ohh! Forgot to mention that the handset went to service center twice from September 2016, my purchase month. Once for SIM module change, then, next for display module change. Waiting for the next burst!! LOL

Would someone from Asus please give an official answer. Is the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML EVER going to get FOTA Marshmallow upgrade? It's been nothing but broken promises since I've had this phone and Asus would be respected more if they gave an honest answer rather than bullshit lies.

Hi Akshay,
I am not an IT genius, if it can help:
go to asus zentalk, there you can find the original firmware. Download it to the secure digital as is. Then only turn the phone off and on, say yes to update and the game is done

Still no update for my ZenFone 2 ze551ml. What is happening ASUS why is it taking so much time. My phone is creating problems, please ASUS I really need the update. Don't make us wait for such a long time.

I am writing from a Marshmellow official ze551ml.
The software is doing its job. I downloaded the firmware to sd and turned off and on the phone, it asked me automatically to update the firmware. It did in about 10 min.
I believe that a lot of people should complain less.
Asus is selling great hardware for 1/3 of competitors. Always think to price!!!
If you care only about form maybe buy other but if you care about substance keep buying asus.
Not always all and sudden is better.

I gave up on Asus products...too many promises unfulfilled !! As far as I'm concerned stick the Marshmallow on a " camp fire ", you will get results here!

Asus surely will lose a large amount of the cell phone market due to broken promise's regarding the marshmallow update. Their share is perhaps 2.1% overall. You would believe they would like to expand it. Never again will I purchase any product of their's..

After 6months of using my zenfone 2 battery is lasting 6 to 7 hours and when I asked for guarany they asked me why I installed the updates?? I will never buy any Asus products ever and I will advise any of my friends to do the same. Personal advise for everybody : DO NOT BUY ASUS

I have asus zenfone 2 zml551 but 4g is not working i have visited 4 time service centre they don't repair he said to me i have tried everything but it's can't possible so you should use 3G asue is nt gd brand they made fake product make goosev to consumer
