its expensive because the MotoMods are new innovation, and of course the price is high.
furthermore it was early release and need some times to reduce the price.

Add onn, concept is always expensive and not readly availableat time of purchase. Its more of a PR than not worth its 300$ starting! Moto has never being a runner n flagships, so imagining is ambigous.

... well this is beyond stupid. If this is the real pricing then those folks at Lenovo/Motorola just went full retard.
- those style covers, which have absolutely no function other than looks, should be FREE.They should come with the phone, and people should have an option to get a wooden or leather one for a few extra bucks just like with the Moto X.
- 80 bucks for the power bank? ARE YOU SERIOUS?? THIS IS THE ONE THAT REALLY NEEDS TO BE CHEAP!! With everyone complaining about those measly 2600 mAh (and rightly so) this is Motorola's great opportunity to be the big brand that makes a good phone with a battery you can expand into nearly 5000 mAh for next to nothing. THEY SHOULD JUST BREAK EVEN ON THOSE BATTERIES. If they try to make money on them, they won't make money on anything.
Sh*t, I've been busy defending this phone in the comments section since the keynote and now they pull this one off?? For Christ's sake USE YOUR BRAIN MOTOROLA.
