MotoMods accessories for Moto Z will be expensive

14 June, 2016
Last week Lenovo announced the Moto Z and Moto Z Force, and both phones support the modular MotoMods accessories that snap onto their backs. During that presentation, Motorola's parent company talked about a few such MotoMods, but unfortunately forgot to say anything about how much these will cost.

I still found them reasonably priced.

          Projectors are always expensive.
100 $ for wireless charging battery is great. Just buy two mods and you, never have to charge your phone in your life.
The jbl speakers are also a good deal.

Look, it will all depend on weather the phone will be a superhit or not.If it will become a superhit than more third-party mods will become common and cheaper. But if not, than you have to satisfy with these only.

i do hope those don't turn out to be the final prices...
$80 for the speakers, well, if they're any good then sure. but $90 for the battery pack? $80 for the style mod? i suppose "Kate Spade" refers to a special one, so maybe the regular covers are less. and a style mod is probably the least you'll want to put on the phone.
the relation between those seems kinda off, too. unless the speakers are garbage, the battery and style mods really should cost less

Well... i'd rather buy an external power bank or bluetooth speaker instead of these for that price. You can get really great sounding speakers for 100$. The projector shouldn't cost that much too. There is lenovo yoga tab 3 pro with it and it costs around 500$. That means the tablet would cost 200$ without it which is bullsh*t.

They are far cheaper than lg friends

It's funny because Motorolas are sort of supposed to be cheaper Nexus phones, but this a polar opposite... So I hope they are cheaper than that, because I'm still fuming at the lack of a headphone jack.

Given that these prices are based solely on a US carrier's app I would take these prices with a pinch of salt. I have no doubt they will not be cheap but until they're released I won't be guessing at prices.
There is the chance that Verizon have added a little extra for themselves and that in reality, from the Moto store, they'll be cheaper.
Until they're actually on sale this is just a number with no real substance.
