Benji, 19 Jun 2016Will it work in the dark? I hope the iris scanner will have some sort of "assistive light" instead of relying solely on the display's light.. Maybe IR light, so it doesn't look awkward in the dark, the front flash firing up every time the screen turns on, blinding the user in the process of unlocking the device (and by the time your vision comes back, the device has locked itself again) :)
Anyway, the Lumia 950 uses IR light for the iris scanner, works great in total darkness, and the only visible light is a little red dot next to the front camera.

Benji, 19 Jun 2016Will it work in the dark? Right? I'm sure it will have a decent light pick up on it, but it will probably have to rely on the screen lighting up?
But then what if you are trying to be stealthy or on low battery?

So if Apple figured out how to actually truly optimize their stuff but only had a 500mah battery out could have the best battery life????? Cause capacity doesn't matter right?
And im hello. You never changed the topic or mentioned that you switched from battery capacity to cpu and os. Your sentence clearly implied you are still talking about battery capacity. Maybe you need to learn how to right.

I think samsung doesn't need to skip Note 6 it should create a phablet that is just 5.5" give a camera of around 21.7mp with tripple flash with duo storage of one being 50Gb internal another being 32Gb a removable battery of 5000mah fast charge 3.0 a micro-SD support of 2TB a selfie camera 8mp with Led flash create an S-pen with a small 5mp camera a quick lauch camera button on the side of the phone duo speakers for music and a screen with around 550ppi and this is the Note 6 then they can launch it in july and push Note 7 to Mid-September.

I have a question
How close you must hold the phone to unlock it?
I don't see a thing wrong with Fingerprint.

Anonymous, 16 Jun 2016Allow me to step in. Android has a lot of useless (and s... moreOne ... this is not true. Two - that is not even the point. This is simple defensive answer to everything - my phone doesn't have this feature because "I don't need it". - No this is not true - you found the ways to live without it. I do agree not all features on android is useful - but what is wrong with that, while you still have many more useful hardware and software features. Not useful features can be removed (that is why Android is customisable), missing features can never be added that easily. In the way you answer the question - ios have only subset of the useful android features. To claim all features on ios are 100% useful is as well not true.

Android has a lot of useless (and sometimes dumb) "features" on it. iOS/Windows only have the useful ones added to them. Everything else is irrelevant.

I've used all mobile phone operating systems for at least one year each, and now I wouldn't go back to Android phones even if they would cost half of their normal price.
For every advantage that Android has, there are at least 3 big disadvantages coming with it.
Anyway, I like being ahead of everyone else, so I've bought a Windows phone. If I were to switch to something else, that might be an iPhone, as it's the only OS that is almost on par with Windows. Android is lagging far behind in terms of quality, user interface, QA testing, optimization, and smart features.
Android was a nice dream in the beginning and the whole concept sounded great, but everything started turning into a consumer nightmare after version 4.0 was released.

I had all kinds of Android devices between 2010 and 2014, all top end. I need a bigger screen. So please stop making assumptions. When Apple finally decided to up the screen sizes, I went back to iOS and I don't regret it one bit.

No, the capacity has nothing to do with real life battery usage. I have an S7 edge and a 6s Plus and the iPhone has better standby and usage time. I never said iOS is more advanced than Android because it obviously isn't. iOS is the OS you want for your daily tasks. Android is for cooking ROMs and having fun tweaking everything. that's it...

I use it a lot to move the cursor when I'm typing a long email, its super useful for that. Live photos are a fun little way to add life to a jpeg. Samsung implemented this in the S7 so I don't think its useless to you anymore. Bezels are good to have, just ask anyone with an S7 edge!! and the battery on the Plus models outdoes any Android. anything else?
