People in countries like India and China like bigger screen phone and because of that they go for phablets. It is all very ironic but this is how things work.

i can't imagine what could happen if nokia launch the 8-series again. many serious mature people are so sick of these big smartphones. it should be perfect a new nokia 8800 arte with 4g and wifi hotspot for tabs and laptops. just talk ona very small stylish phone and ocassionally surf the web from a 8", 10" tab if you want.

dont see how this story makes people think their selling like crazy when it starts out being specific of a specific color/ memory configuration. then the rest of the story seems to be spinning it to look like all are out of stock.

I work for one of the big 3 in Canada, right now that phone have been out of stock, for at least 6 weeks, not to mention, I've sold more IphoneSE's then any of the Galaxy s7's combined.

u think people buy expensive android phone are power user like u ? majority used phone for basic feature like call , surt internet , messaging and play some game that ios also can do. only they more prefer android style than ios ...
and sometime they buy expensive android phone just to show off to ios user that they got million feature on their phone that they never used on their daily life ...
i will never said people hate apple because they cant afford it. just only they just dont same taste like other ... thats all

I actually love my SE. it's kind of a step back in the right direction for me. But my s7 edge still takes the place as my daily driver, but when I don't want to think about work and relax, the SE is the perfect companion.

Yeah same like what i did, i live in Indonesia but i went to Malaysia to buy iphone SE (with a little bit of vacation of course) i like iPhone SE because it's size, Good battery (no gaming) and amazing processing speed. When i was in Malaysia there's no 16gb version because they're already sold out in many Apple stores. So i bought the 64gb version space grey color (this space grey also were hard to find, i have searched in so many apple store there, i found this only 1 left in stock at that day). Perfect phone for me, and this is my first iPhone ever :)

There is no doubt that Apples slowing sales of very recent times is due to huge competition from Android...i.e. Samsung, if we're going to be totally honest. But it's also true that Apple can easily capture so much more market share than present with just a slightly expanded product mix. With the SE, Apple now has the Mini, Standard and Phablet size markets covered nicely. A good base with which to start fighting back more aggressively.
