Look at this comparison Nokia N86 (8mp) vs iPhone 4 (5mp) vs Ixus 95 is (10mp). iPhone photos are completely satisfactory!
A good sensor and good optics make the photos of te iPhone 4 look lightyears better than N97 or N900.

What I really dislike about Nokia is that they bring out a top notch product and then drop it within a few months leaving their faithful customers abandoned.
I bought the N900 earlier this year and it is already obsolete history. I would not trust Nokia again and my money is on Android. Either Samsung or HTC.

if it does realy have an 1 ghz cpu on board and ruuning in symbian os, it might just be the fastest phone...because symbian that runs in 600 mhz cpu is already fast, then how about if it runs on a 1 ghz..and if it turn out to be a meego it might just be as good as or even better than the top android phone(eg. galaxy s,desire,droid x) and the iPhone 4..

TC, 24 Aug 2010MeeGo is based on Linux, but Android is also based on Linux... morelook at the design of the n8 plus symbian3 is like win7,they left all the garbage and remade it how it's suppose have been a 1500mah or 1320 battery would never have fit anyways cause of the design

Nokia usually have to small batteries to make their phones really mobile so unless they have learned, N8 still sucks, then N9 will have nice specs but will be unusable, lika N900, because of the small battery. 160 g is rather heavy so that should indicate big battery but N900 was 181 g but still only had 1320 mAh battery.

next summer this specs will be as oldfashioned as the N8 specs now... This N9 should be released NOW. Next year it'll be too late.

If maemo didn't need that much power too run how do you think meego will be
Meamo never needed the snapdragon from before or dual core
It's linux......understand that it doesn't need alot to run
Even on my laptop
I'm using it
Core i3 2.0ghz and 4gb RAM
It uses 20% of the cpu when in use and 8%RAM
So it's next to nothing while in use

I doubt there will be a snapdragon in a meego phone. I think it will have a moorestown processor as it is made by intel just like meego is made by nokia and intel.

Guys, before saying android is better or any other phone is better, lets wait and see what meego can do. Some of u come in here insisting other operating systems are better when they havent even looked at a working copy of meego. Galaxy s is a good phone, but how can some of you blindly compare it to something which hasnt even been released. Its still a prototype and no where near completion. You must be stupid to make a comparison now.

didnt anyone ever inform nokia that humingbird and dual processors is the new thing for next year?? snapdragon is so gonna be last year when this comes out. and a 5mp camera?? seriously?? even a feature phone has that. i mean seriously! all those specs mentioned already exist! there's nothing really 'wow' about it. sorry.

Finally! It's about time! Was hoping to switch over to HTC,SAMSUNG or APPLE but this greatly interests me!!! Will definitely buy this if the specs are true! :)

Nokia al last on the track but i dont know where will it lead to.Finally getting 1ghz snapdragon and 512 mb ram is definitely enjoyabale good news.But, belive me, it also pushes me to think about buying a samsung wave,which now seems to be really a fujure proof phone for at least some times bcz nokia is returing in the wid what it has today.On the software side,there is a good chance of running unofficial meego in wave since its also a linux device and the hardware is just a perfect match.I am a nokia fan but i think the price of N9 will be such high that it will be out of reach of general mass.The only thing really attracts me are the anodised Al body and the punching 160gm weight.Yess I like heavy phones,I wanna feel my phone in my hand and my pocket.
