Nokia C7 previewed before official announcement, will cost 350 euro

26 August, 2010
Nokia are obviously not doing a great job preventing those leaks as another of their handsets has been previewed well-ahead of its official announcement. This time it's the Nokia C7 and even though the preview...

Ricardo-Mexico, 28 Aug 2010I was talking about the X6, because It has capacitive touch... moreNokia C7 has a capacitive screen as will all future phones running Symbian^3. The information on GSMarena is old. My proof? The original review:
          http://mobile-review.com/review/nokia-c7-en.shtml
search up resistive and you will get no matches however if you search capacitive, it will lead you straight to the proof.

Ricardo-Mexico, 28 Aug 2010I am the Number 1 Nokia Fan. I have had: 8260, 3320, 310... moreI hear you. I've also had a dozen different Nokias over a few years (3210, 3510, 5140, 6290, 5800, N82, N95, N97, N86, E75, X6, N900). I still have them all and they all work fine (except the old 3210 whose charging socket broke after some 6 years of use, but that can be forgiven, it's very old!). It's sad that they don't make smartphones in clamshell form factor anymore though, I really like my 6290, but the processing power and RAM isn't enough for me anymore. But I think that what we're hoping for will be realized in the N8. The design isn't as good as N97 mini, but other than that, it's an absolute beast of a phone.

am glad nokia change to capacitive screen for their flagship otherwise nokia will be irrelevant in high end smartphonemarket

i for one am glad of a resistive screen, giving me the option for pressure sensitive apps and stylus use. not to mention more accurate web browsing. and nokia proved they know how to do resistive right with the n900. this thing is damn responsive. Keep those resistive screens coming nokia!!

I prefer Nokia over the others brands.
But since a while I'm confused.
By this time I would have a new Nokia phone. I still have my N82 which is working perfectly.
But I have not bought a new handset because of several reasons:
X6 is awesome, has capacitive screen but 5 mega pixels.
N97 and N97 mini are beautiful, but resistive and the battery doesn't long. You must charge It everyday.
I'm waiting for the N8...I will choose among the Nokia phones, I won't think in other brands.
I think Nokia came almost to perfection with N82, and It's so difficult to change It...believe me. For me The real perfection wolud be: N97 mini with capacitive, 8 mega pixels and a good battery...That would be like a paradise in earth

The C7 has resistive touch screen. I saw the specifications here in GSMArena.

Well, If the C7 has capacitive touch screen, It could be a good option, but only If It has capcitive screen.

Great themes, a great screen, etc

To be honest I would find it hard to choose between a nokia n8 and samsung galaxy s. Although the interface is inferior, I still prefer symbian, as I hate being limited to installing apps from an app store. Besides, I think nokia is better all round, with usb on d go, better camera HDMI, and nicer design. The screen is the only thing inclining me for the galaxy s. Besides, nokia n8 is significantly cheaper, right?

That must be why Nokia E-series business and Nokia Classic series phones are the thinnest phones in the world. Nokia was making slim devices way back when Samsung where releasing hundreds of thick sliders.

Smart phones & TV's are the first electronics to be purchased. As such reliability and value are placed at a premium.

                                    Iphones are very expensive

                                    a) I love the Iphone posters claim that an Iphone only costs $200 never mind the the 2-3 year contract that actually costs $100/month ounce one adds all the fees and extra's.

                                    b) one is required to have access to a computer that one can download/install software on. a non-trivial cost involving PC and internet access purchase. alternatly one can pay a cell phone shop to do these tasks for you. Again a real cost of ownership with an electronics product that must be "tethered" to a computer.

The way iphone users talk here shows what kind of people uses iphone. I'm losing every respect i have for these people. The way they laugh at people living on a third world country, who can't afford a half bitten apple logo is disturbing. If you're happy spending lots of money to buy an iphone and to keep it functioning like a real smartphone, keep it yourself and shut your mouth it isn't something to be proud of. Majority of the world's population are suffering of poverty, dying of hunger, and here you are, acting all proud of all your foolishness, posting nonsense on a forum reserved for a proper discussion of phone specs, pros and cons. I'm from a third world country, i admit i can't afford an iphone 4 not even an ipod touch, but don't worry, i have never paid an interest to have one. I need to be practical, i want the full potential of my device. I want full control of it. I want satisfaction at an affordable price. That's what i'm having on my nokia 5630. And hopefully, on this new device, which i'm planning to have.
