IMO Sony won't die. They will live on because they make phones that are not boring copycats. They will either be acquired by another smartphone company or they will further expand.
That being said, their product lineup this is just unexciting and overpriced AF!

Sony has never really got that close to top 5 sales in Brazil anyway. Unfortunately that was supposed to happen since they were getting pricier than the other players. And actually, not even a single phone is really made in Brazil. All pieces comes from China or other Asian countries and all that's made here is the assembly. This means: we pay twice the salaries and 3 times the original prices from the equipments.

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2016TRolls in 5 4 3 2 .......Too late. They were already ahead of you.

I can see why LG bring lite version in Brazil. Things are getting pricier than it should be in that country. Sony can't handle the production cost anymore. They stop manufacturing doesn't mean they stop selling it there guys. Sony will always be around.

Xperia X series are even less competitive than last year's M/C/Z series, it's only a matter of time they stop manufacture phones altogether.

i wonder how sony expects to keep itself relevant in the next few years.
