I didn't upgraded my Note 3 when Note 4 or even Note 5 was out. I was 100% positive to buy Note 7, but if this is true (only curved screen version will be available)... for sure I'll pass to another vendor!

AnonD-303486, 22 Jun 2016y keep increasing the phone size??? wot the hell is wrong w... more5" below is too small
        LOLZ!

This device is NOT for you. Go buy the old phones. There are lots of below 5" screens in the market

adeelraj, 22 Jun 2016what's the connection between flat screen and fragmentationIt's because of Samsung's customized UI for Android and apps for the Edge..
It's different for the Edge vs the regular ones to cater for the added function of the S-Pen and the curved screen (shortcut menu on the sides, etc) plus other apps specifically intended for this device (I assume as an additional bloatware)
Because of the above reason, it might have an error for the regular ones (due to fragmentation)

This is the end of Samsung’s mobile division, at least for me personally.

The S5 and Note 4, which I both still have and love, were the last true smartphones by Samsung, the last true successors of the Nokia N and Nokia E series, the last true multimedia and utility powerhouses. Everything went downhill from then.

The glass is terribly fragile, fingerprint prone and is really bad for dispersing heat. The edge is a stupid gimmick which looks “cool” but is beyond useless, makes the phone harder to grip, causes constant unwanted touches and warps the screen. But Samsung couldn’t care less. They removed the SD card only to return it, but never returned the removable battery. They are going for the fedora monkeys because that’s where the money is. They know the metrosexual fedora monkeys don’t care about the IR blaster, removable battery and camera (Note 4 camera is still better than the S7 camera). All they do is upgrade the processor and RAM. They know people can play any game out there on even an S3 and newer processors are just for benchmark numbers aka pissing contests, but they also know they could easily just sell an identical S7 with just a better processor, call it the S8, and people would still buy, just look at what Apple has been doing for years.

They’ll eventually take away even the 3,5 jack, just like Apple, and people will still throw away their money because their bricks look like an infinity pool that they can show off to their hipster friends, only now with a higher number on the back.

So goodbye Samsung. Thanks for the S5 and Note 4. Nokia is about to return so I know where I’m going. As for you, just don’t go over the edge…oh wait, too late.

Why the f&%$ is there a curved screen? Jesus, I hate these things. As a german I had to buy a Note 5 oversea and now they dont even make flat screens anymore. Samsung is official dead for me. This is just ridiculous!

Really no SD823 and only curved screen option?

                          Why?

Wanting to upgrade from my Note4 but they are making it difficult, at least for me.

It would be a better buy a S7 edge: marginal HW differences (except for S Pen) and a lot cheaper by september than this.

Yesss... A waterproof Note. Can't wait!
