Once it was as famous as iOS and Android and now it's not around anymore. Younger generation don't even know about Symbian. And what experience we had with Symbian. So Android and even iOS will die some day and nee OS's will take their place like Android and iOS replace Symbian and WebOS

This OS is being developed in Sweden, so it's got nothing to do with Sailfish.
Possibility that it could use bits of Mer, but even that I doubt.

Huawri is one of the brand i like. please go for sfos or develop meego os as a backup plan from nokia engineers.

This OS it will be Sailfish OS. Linux MeeGo Sailfish OS from Jolla IMHO. It is free and can be substitute for Android, just because is much more flexible and useful. And was already ported to Huawei devices by MeeGo community members.

When the first time I used chopstick, I was frustrated and embarrassed. Now I can pick up a peanut easily with chopstick. The key is open minded (think globally), patient, flexible and fast learner.

"Hopefully Huawei will never need to use the OS". Why? Former Nokia developers working with the maker of some of the best hardware around today? Looks like a realistic chance for some interesting phones instead of the dime a dozen bland Googlephones.

They can go for Windows, Symbian, Ubuntu, Sailfish, Cyanogenmod, meego, ....
There are so many options, it will be very hard to convince developers to bring apps for a new platform.
