Marvin, 23 Jun 2016an electric powered bike that monitors how much exercise yo... moreYou know there ARE people that use the same device for more than one particular purpose.
One day the user might want to exercise. Another day be completely wasted (say after a night in town) and would love the help of the motor. Or there might be a particular steep part where the motor could be helpful. Et cetera, just use your imagination....

Kind of defeat the purpose of it being a bike, isn't it? The main point of a bike is to allow the user to exercise. If you equip the bike with a motor, then what use of it to encourage people to exercise?Looks like Xiaomi is answering question that no one asked.

Does it have 'electrical brakes'? That is a dynamo collecting the power back for those that do not want to drive too fast down hill?

an electric powered bike that monitors how much exercise you've had...i don't get it...the concept is a bit contradictory...why exercise when your bike has a motor...and why have a motor if you plan to exercise on your bike?

I am cycling hater, hate all those clogging the lanes, not following a single sign, slowing down the traffic and demanding the right they should NOT have. Sometimes I feel like I am going to have hard moment in my life and just run bunch of them over.... ammm yes what I was about? This bicycle really looks great and sounds amazing (at least on the paper) - 45km at up to 20km/h? If you ever cycled you know 20km/h is not the speed you can sustain for long periods... well unless you are Tour de France racer on steroids.. Sounds like ideal for commuters... still I do not support cycling on the streets. It must be done away from traffic, safely away from pollution and on pavements...
