Don't tell me Google engineers and developers are more stupid than Samsung.
I still feel back button on the left is more convenient for me and I am right handed.

filling the icons with white pixels is not a good move

it would make serious burn in problems for AMOLED devices

The circle button is stupid - "circle" dies not say "home" to anyone. Same with square. Make them look like they used to on old Android versions.

AnonD-212284, 25 Jun 2016I think it would be better for right handed users to reach ... moreThat's my thinking as well, bending is more of an inconvenience than quickly extending your thumb to reach and tap the back button, which I agree is the most used and important button on any smartphone; feel bad for iPhone users I hate their unorganized app navigating system.

"...this design isn't final yet and could suffer even more modifications," OP is madd salty lol suffer is a word I would pick too since the navigation bar and button design is fine just the way it is, the animation part sounds interesting though and the solid colors looks really good. Still I'd let third parties and ROMs like CM worry about that sort of stuff.

I think it would be better for right handed users to reach the back button on the left. No need to bend your right thumb, right? That is ergonomic.

AnonD-507364, 25 Jun 2016Can you search Google? Google research and public opinion ... moreI search google reasons for this. It said the UI flow from right to left so the back button reflect those direction. Thats it. No ergonomic stuff. And public opinion?! That you call scientific reasoning?! Seriously, that is so stupid if they just go with what people says.

Here's the thing though, my opinion is that Samsung made the right call. Most people are right-handed and use the back button far far more than the app switcher. If everyone being honest, we all rarely use the app switcher. Thus the right-side back button makes perfect sense to me and is vastly more convenient. Easy to reach, and more frequently used; also faster than reaching all the way to the left side. Is it so hard to understand this concept or you just making excuse that stock android navigation button is better just because you are used to that version.

Google research and public opinion gathered already proved that back button on the left is much more ergonomics than on the right.
This is the reason why Google place it on the left since Ice Cream Sandwich version and many top reviewers agree on that.
Samsung is one of the stubborn company that still place it on it's right.

Btw, the back butt... moreIf you're right handed and the back button is on the left, I think it's still feels comfortable to press considering you have a totally normal phone (not a massive phablet or what). Android has no button placement language of some sort so no company is dumb.

Btw, the back button is the most frequently used button in smartphone. It makes more sense to put it closest to our thumb since most people are right-handed. Let me ask you this. Why Google put the back button on the left? For what logical reason? Samsung reasoning cannot be denied. So, isn't it Google the dumb ones.

Samsung has the worst navigational buttons of all smartphone! Such a loser company.
Until this day of the year, silly Samsung still place its stupid back button on the right instead of following official Google guideline to place it on the left.
Such a dump move and what a shame Samsung. No wonder their sales are going down.
Learn from Nexus, HTC, Sony and place your silly back button of the left for good sake. Dumbo!
