Farcry 4, 28 Jun 2016U forgot ir blaster broFrankly, I used IR blaster on my S4. But only for the initial few weeks after buying the phone. After that never used it. IR blaster not coming on S7 edge is not a deal breaker for me.
But then again, I remember that Nokia S60 phones had this function way back in 2004-2006 as well. That was the time I used the crap out of the IR remote function, that too coz it was new.

I have had seven Androids so far, three of them Note, yes, as a whole I love Note devices, that's why I use them Sherlock. But lets not ignore the fact that the software implementation is FAR from being perfect. Samsung could have implemented S Note, S Planner, Scroll Capture etc. as separate software, couldn't they? But they had to alter Android's DNA upside down! Which is very disappointing, that's why no dev wants to work for Samsung TouchWiz ROMs.
Lightweight, slim, that's how Android is, that's how Google created it, its shameful to change it. Originality should be mentioned! Samsung will pay for this, just matter of time. Already go to inferior device's forums like OnePlus and see how many have moved to it from S6, S7E and Note 4, then you will have the "real" picture, and I don't blame them at all, of course some are delusional but I never count them anyway.

Great to see already Sammy gearing up for ux change. All looks find, all white instead of different colors for each stock app. One thing that disappointed me was taking the idea of force touch from Apple. Android would've been far better if hadn't copied from few from Apple.

I miss the Timescape UI of Sony hope they will bring back to life, thats the modern UI that can only rival the TW UI and Sense UI if hTC during the golden days. Stock android is boring. IMHO

Still looks ugly with those static, oldschool icons, the animations are still sometimes choppy, the menus and submenus are totally disorganised, etc.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2016Typo: I'd give the edge to Snapdragon.Thnx for correcting me. Samsung only sells Exynos variant in my country so I can't actually see their performance difference in person. Currently I have Note 2 which is running great but well you know its getting dated and I plan to switch to Note 7. So I am stuck with the exynos variant.

thankfully there are countless millions of us, who simply, don't listen to the blather, go to the shop, and buy. This article may or, may not, represent new touchwizz, or it may be a Pr red herring on an old phone to dumb down exitement, as there is really nothing to see here.

Like there's no better app in the world. WhatsApp is just as good, if not better, and with 100 million calls a day it proves it. Even though I like Viber even more.

In latest gen it has a bit higher multi-core performance (good for multitasking and heavy loads), but Snapdragon 820 has higher single-core performance. And there is even higher difference between their GPUs: Adreno 530 quite a bit more powerful than anything else currently on market.
Considering also software support, I'd give the edge to
