Samsung Galaxy Note7 cases confirm it will have a curved display

Just like many past rumors have said, it looks like the Note is going for the edge screen this year.

      LOL renders of cases don't mean nothing. I thought tech sites knew that. I bet the production will start on release day, but before that there will be just speculations

It's so inconvenient to c... moreSo you listen to music from your smartphones speakers while driving instead of using the much better car speakers and while riding your bike also you manage to listen to music directly from your smartphones speakers LOL what a joke is that man ...Although I am also up in favour of a good quality boom sound speakers on smartphones.but at the same time earphones and its sound quality is much more important that the external audio performance of the smartphones speakers
              but the reason you have mentioned makes me laugh like crazy. Lol.

              Plus samsung smartphones do not have huge bezels like you mentioned samsung now produces very beautifull smartphones moreover its Note5 has like 76% screen to body ratio plus in almsot all samsujg flagships its capacitive hardware buttons help them big time to utilize the space better instead of giving a extra bar for onscreen buttons .

              & It was always HTC flagship smartphones which use to have a big black bar at the bottom with huge bezels and that black bar was a pure waste of space, it was good that Htc has finally learnt that its of no use and they have removed that black bar in Htc 10.

                  A quality boomsound speakers is more important than earphone speakers. At least you just need to carry a phone with you.

                    have a samsung s7 edge. it dropped in the same time on the ground with an S5. S5 had a small scratch, but the screen was intact, S7 Edge screen broke in pieces.

                    also, it's harder to hold the phone, the grip it's not that firm. although the phone looks better, I wouldn't recommend it

Also your statement about it being too fragile is totally wrong. Samsung uses a really hard Gorilla glass which every generation gets harder and more difficult to scratch. You should get informed and stop from living in your world. Curved screen look so coool... And the effects that it makes as its wrap around the edges is awesome. Too bad people like you are not enjoying as i am... Peace

                            Not buying if this news is true, samsung plz give the flat screen Note7 as a option and change the camera to something better than S7 camera .But I guess I might have to wait for lg g pro 3 only if lg decides to make one or i will have to wait for Note8.However lets see what happens in future.

Norm... moreI think the general view is the curved glass looks better and makes a phone feel better when in the hand. The trend is to reduce bezels and make phones look more streamline. Samsung has added some useful functionality to the edge too, but it is the looks that help sell it more than the functionality.

                                      TN, 29 Jun 2016I bought my wife an S7 Edge, and the curved screen usefulne... moreThe edge screen not only provides you with app/contact shortcuts and also widgets at the swipe of the side of the screen no matter what you are doing on your phone, but running your finger along its side while the phone is off gives you updates/notifications without having to turn the phone on. Also, when the phone is face down the sides will light up when a call is coming in (this is an exceptional feature during classes and/or meetings). Hope this helps you justify your purchase of an edge-screen enabled device!

Are you sure you remember it correctly? I ask only because I have no case on my Galaxy S7 Edge and have dropped on rougher surfaces from greater distances with no damage. Besides, the edge screen does provide a few helpful things: the sides turn green when a call is coming through and my phone is on silent (great for in class/during a meeting), it provides shortcuts to apps/contacts and provides widgets at the swipe of the side from any screen, and it can give me notifications while the phone is turned off. All very helpful.
