Finally, Ive been waiting for someone to make a 9.7, 10" tablet with QHD resolution and nice specs, they had the zenpad 10 but that is just way too slow.
And the z4 is out of my pocket.

mir, 30 Jun 2016Some phones have nearly the same battery size as this table... more1) Aesthetics - size, design, width, etc
OEMs just don't simply come up with designs out of the air.
These usually involves alot of market study so this design is based on target market's feedback
2) Weight
Adding more batteries or the current existing technology for batteries is heavier for those with higher capacity
3) Cost
Higher battery capacity are cheaper but at the expense of size.
If they want to customize battery design according to their specs, it will cost more

AnonD-300168, 30 Jun 2016Never buy Asus. They never update your software. You must learn from other smartphone on Android M, users say its many bugs and wanna downgrade!

Marvin, 30 Jun 2016Well, with that logic, if there is space and you can't make... moreThen they would need even more complex battery optimization system in the software. With that logic, all you get is hard work that just doesn't add up. How will customers react if they realized that they need 2 or 3 battery replacement at once when their batteries degrade after a few years? That is even more problem.

AnonD-300168, 30 Jun 2016Never buy Asus. They never update your software. You also forgot to mention that their tablets have locked boot loader and you can't even put a custom Rom on most of them

Julliard, 30 Jun 2016Look at the thinnest of this tablet. It is 5.32mm thick. Ho... moreWell, with that logic, if there is space and you can't make a larger one...Why not just put 2 or 3 or 4 small phone batteries in it? There is the space and there certainly are the circuits to switch between them when one exhausts.

mir, 30 Jun 2016Some phones have nearly the same battery size as this table... moreLook at the thinnest of this tablet. It is 5.32mm thick. How to put a big battery in that even if it is a tablet. Battery is flat. But you cannot make a wide size battery neither the battery can be flatter than 5mm thick. It simply doesn't work. Most tablet battery are pretty much the same size as smartphone battery; if you could open the rear that is.

AnonD-479319, 30 Jun 2016It'd be cooler if we had this in black all over...Yep. Anodized aluminum finished in jet black would be so sick to look at.

Some phones have nearly the same battery size as this tablet. What's keeping these manufacturers from putting in bigger capacity batteries in their tablets?

audiophile, 30 Jun 2016i wish it has hifi audio too for great multi media experienceA true audiophile knows you can't expect HiFi from a tablet, other than a digital output.
As usual, specs don't really matter, what will make or break this tables (same as countless others) is price.
