For me that should be a priority:

        - dual-sim in Europe
        - good battery life (gsmarena endurance > 72h)
        - good screen (not necessary 4k) 5-5.5"
        - good camera (at least the level of OnePlus 3, preferably better)
        - fast, calm SoC

        the rest is just marketing

Still on my Nexus 5. Waiting for the next Nexus which will be the same size. Don't want 2k or 4k display. Just updated Nexus 5 with faster CPU, RAM and Flash storage. Better camera would also be great.

I don't care about the updates. I don't care about anything if it's not have dual front facing speakers!! thank god I my 6P and not were waiting for HTC's Nexus crap.

So two options, or Google they saving dual front speakers for their own device, that will call Google and I'm still happy with this decision, or I will buy the next Axon phone.

Bummer. The source says the smaller Nexus will also have AMOLED panel. :( This means ugly pentile and poor battery life (like HTC A9).

AnonD-196068, 30 Jun 2016Sorry if I misunderstanding something but why would anyone ... moreIt is most likely an Internal name... Nexus devices are well called Nexus only... 4, 5, 6, 6P, 5X ... but Nexus.. So it will most probably called Nexus 7 (yeah that will be confusing, but... ) and may be 6X... the smaller one.

PLZ Google, If you are ever Gonna Listen... Take a Cue from S7 & launch a dual sim variant for NEXUS (atleast in Asia , including INDIA). I have wanted a Nexus since Nexus 4 But couldn't have one just because of this one shortcoming. No Dual Sim Variant. Kindly launch a dual sim variant this year man.

Sooooo yeah... no. Coming from two years of great performing stereo front facing speakers, getting HTC to make the new models and putting them on the bottom seems pretty stupid... I was planning on buying the higher end one, but stereo front facing speakers have become pretty much a deciding factor for me. If they strip this one of those then I'm not buying it. And it would really suck too, I was looking forward for this phone.
Hope this particular aspect isn't 100% decided yet. Please HTC, come on.

They should've just stayed with the HTC 10 form factor and screen size.

They should have given the production of the smaller Nexus to Sony. Let the bigger one be made by HTC or Huawei.

They are, just like last year. This time it will be a 5.0" device, with a 1080p screen and high end specs. Just an assumption but expect it to be a metal build like other HTC phones.
