And Sony's stereos systems (tv, subwoofer, etc) are produced by different division.

p.s the only reason why Samsung is so popular is because they literally shove their trashy products down peoples throats,same reason why my mom brought that appaling excuse of a surround sound player,because all we could find was Samsung trash in the store.
Couldn't find any SONY products :-(
A matey of mines has an S7 and the thing is so light,like theres nothing in there (well,maybe there isn't,really)
My XPERIA Z is heavier than that thing...Keep on buying your TRASH and please leave SONY consumers in peace to discuss more important things than fighting off you trolls on every single SONY page. Typical,insecure Samsung fanboi. when has anything with "made in china" ever produced a quality product??
My moms recently brought a Samsung (GIGA) sound system,the thing is barely a year old and we've had to exchange it twice and again its giving issues,whereas before we had a SONY stereo,and its still playing,10years on. This is just my experience with the 2 brands and it summarizes the two brands imo.
Meanwhile, I just ordered a brand,spanking new XPERIA Z3 and im excited as fudge.
while you fanboys keep fighting a losing battle.

Each year, samsung sells much much more phones than sony. So it is impossible samsung to do evil marketing tricks to block sony's sales.
Sony mobile (i say: sony's mobile division) is just a small company compared to samsung's mobile division.
But.. the opposite thing can probably be happened.
Sony can do evil tricks to block samsung sales, they do this to gain more fans like you. That video may be sponsored by sony.

wow. Good phone. Best hi-res amoled screen, and best chip. Made from full metal with beautiful back panel, no plastic. With full featured improved no-lag touchwiz. And with reasonable price.

1. Make more plastic phones.
2. Sell those phones very expensive, like korean flagships.
3. Brainwash the fans. Tell them those phones are well optimized devices without lag.

even though they are most likely to break (specially becuz it's designed for outdoor) i can imagine they made it tougher to break as well (otherwise we'll se a lot of reports about it in a couple weeks) if those buttons break easily then it would be a real flop, otherwise it's ok for the functionality

samsung think that we are stupid and that
a big and hard physical buttons will look tougher,
but unfortunately it makes the handset to look old
and heavy and bulky...
also it's affecting the resistance to:
water, dust, brake. and increase the chance for malfunction and brake.
they didn't do it to make it tough and strong and reliable,
they did it to make it looks like it so you'll pay more for some crap toy :)
and this is my opinion with the facts i have so far about this product.

by ur logic those special editions or custom made laborghinis (just from the top of my head) must be really bad cuz it didn't make it to the masses XD
the fact for anything to be hot or nor can't be wether u can get access to or not, it's just about wether u like it enough to buy it (IF u had the possibility) otherwise i had to flame all the chinese phones (which looks pretty good IMO) just becuz they're not available on my country...
oh and don't take it personally since goes the same for the posts alike (just urs was the last one i read)
and my vote goes NOT becuz i really like to care my phones and i dont use them on the outside (not that much) so i do like the looks a bit more than specs (the combo must be great though) and i can't get access to it

and i'm expecting this phone to be a not, and not due to the phone. the phone itself is great . but due to the att exclusiveness of the phone. even though a lot of carriers will pay a company for rights to an exclusive phone, att is known for that. after all the first iphones were an att exclusive also. Lets say you had a ton of money, went to samsung or apple with what you considered the absolutely perfect phone has everything you could possibly ask for and more. and someone saw your phone, and just drooled over the fact it could even whipe your own , well you know. it does everything. should your phone instantly be a not , because you didn't make it for the masses?

Just because the technology is there, doesn't mean anyone can use it. But then there are just the stupid patents like drawing a picture of a rectangle. and suing everyone and their dog if they ever use a rectangle. we will leave company ISue nameless.

If people trust a phone to use in extreme conditions they might not have enough time to go through menu's to find right app. May be that is the reason for all that physical buttons.... I am pretty sure Samsung did enough research before they add all those buttons because if they could remove it they would have done it. That will be easy and will cut the cost of production of this phone. I trust Samsung's build quality.......

That is frankly a big bummer indeed. Actually we don't even need to go into the Z line from Sony. The Xperia Active (from the former Sony Ericsson) did that on a mid/low end phone. It worked with the wet screen still, GSMArena tested it (granted, on a cup of water. But the pressure makes no difference on the capacitance so point stands).
