AnonD-506570, 02 Jul 2016Blackberry is not worthy of mentioning on this site sooner ... moreNo one cares for what you say, troll. enough...
people should be open minded and before you comment something on an OS... try it. I've tried FOUR of the 5 OS's possible... and I'm fairly satisfied with the experience.
try, conclude, AND then have an opinion. not before!

Blackberry is not THAT bad when considered as a work phone... their interface of BBOS10 (had the z10 btw) is fairly intuitive. and the gestures system is just lovable. I just wished Blackbarry would stop using the Snapdragon s4 series...

Seems like they have discontinued device tweaked to At&t and VZ only. Unlocked GSM smartphones will still be available and in production?

I still owned and waiting to buy BB OS 10 Devices

krystian, 02 Jul 2016Windows mobile has held on most of its shares after a brief... moreI don't hate windows10. I did use Nokia windows phones like 820,920,1320 and 735 with Windows 10. I was actually looking for a reason to switch from Android from all these years. Always came back to android. That's how I ended up buying Z10,Q10 and Z30. Couldn't stand even two day with IPhone 5 though. I couldn't bare the idea of using iTunes for each and everything. It's just stupid. Hey.. But I am just like you. Open to every options and I literally tried everything in the market. Thats how I use sailfish OS but switch back again but it's almost a year ago. They must be doing something with their sailfish OS in these times. It's also a good OS just like BB10. Unfortunately everyone wanna see BB10 is taking it's last breath they already digging grave for blackberry. Just go through comments.. Windows is missing file system, IOS also missing that plus that ITunes... Eeeaasshhh.. Salefish OS and BB10 missing users and apps..... If Iphones has SD card and filesystem then I will try again that not until then.i agree with you brother windows has potential to be the best. I am also not a fanboy to anyone.......

galaxyS7, 02 Jul 2016From BB10 to Windows 10 is a HUGE mistake. That only get th... moreWindows mobile has held on most of its shares after a brief sink due to uncertainty. But in reality it's being developed and it's honestly my favourite OS. Here's my start screen. It's not just the boring stuff that MS shows as default.

                http://i.imgur.com/cOy8FsO.jpg

It's extremely customizable. And it's pretty awesome in every way.

I have an iphone 6 and an asus zenfone so I'm definitely not biased. The apps are best n iphone, but MS's strategy is to build up their ecosystem, finish up the OS and then release innovative hardware which will be in 2017. They have retrenched until they can put out something worthy of hype. With their current UWP strategy more and more apps are coming to mobile. Steam, twitter, facebook, facebook messenger, snapchat may be coming too. New redesigned paypal, lots of new bank apps, tonnes of new games. All these even though the market share is low. MS has always done things the wrong way, they tried to focus on their weakness instead of their strengths. But they have been putting lots of money into the development process, the OneCore system to allow apps to run on any windows 10 device, etc.

I think in spring 2017 they can become a viable competitor. Keep in mind that they want to redefine the smart phone. Smart phones are computers but they are limited by input/output. It shouldn't be like that. You literally have this powerful device that you're not taking full advantage of.

I'm happy with my 950xl and I use it as my main device. I'll play with the iphone 6 at times if I want to check out some crazy app. But a lot of those apps you spend a bit of time on and then forget about them. And when spring 2017 comes along and they showcase their new cellular device, and their ecosystem is much better, then i may get it. But hey I'm also open to Samsung/Apple releasing something good at around that time too. So I'm not a loyalist by any means. I just get what's best for me. I like to see the tech MS is developing unfold. The insider builds have realy enhanced the mobile system. I enjoy the continuum feature more and more as more apps are coming and Edge is becoming a viable browser to use. I have my PC now strictly connected to my TV for gaming and use my phone as my desktop PC. And I need to leave, I just unhook the phone, it's fully charged and I can use it as a phone. It's a great concept, it's still an early reference but it has amazing potential. The HP elite X3 laptop dock is pretty great too. It's pure battery/screen and you don't need all the expensive components a laptop comes with, you just use the processing power of the phone. It makes sense people have to buy all these separate things to do different things but really they have the power in their pockets. So if MS figures out how to make it even better i'll be impressed. It's definitely a long-term future strategy. What they have achieved with windows 10 from a code perspective is insane. It is the most modular OS. And yes that includes comparing linux. And it's completely device agnostic.

Anyways, I just wish people kept an open mind rather than bashing something without truly experiencing it. The 950/950xl phones were reference designs for fans. No doubt still not a consumer phone they wanted out there in everyones hands. I mean it was obvious when they sacrificed millions of users by not having it work with Verizon. MS has insane R&D and they are finally taking projects out into the wild. I have faith that they can create a new category of mobile devices that have cellular connectivity but aren't necessarily just phones. And like their hybrid 2-in-1's it will be a new category of market share.

                Sorry for the rant. ;)

Sailfish is slightly similar to BB10 but BB10 runs much much better, actually BB10 is a fantastic platform and I would move back tomorrow if it had more apps that I use.
Windows mobile on latest fast ringer download is really starting to come good and it has lots of the main apps you need..
Android seems ti me like its never going to be perfection but its good with all the apps.
IOS is best with all apps and quality build.

That only get them to bankruptcy because Microsoft mobile itself is a sinking ship. I would recommend sailfish OS than Windows10. Implementation of blackberry services in sailfish OS will be easier than in Windows... I hope.....

                              5 key statements here:
                              1) We'll continue to support our BlackBerry 10 platform

                              2) We are focused on software updates for BlackBerry 10

                              3) We are updating our smartphone lineup with state of the art devices

                              4) We continue to actively support sales of our BlackBerry 10 smartphones to customers in most markets

                              5) We believe that being truly cross platform – which includes support for BB10, Android, iOS and Windows Phone – will allow us to best serve our customers across the world.

I think blackberry would do better by going windows mobile. It's tough to compete in the android space. They aren't doing that well and they have always been about the enterprise side. I get MS is a competitor but if MS seals the enterprise world then at least they can provide the hardware portion and make money that way. Granted While w10m is an amazing OS it's not finished yet. But hopefully when Redstone 2 comes around maybe they will put some thought into it. I'd hate for them to fail twice. I'm glad they are still putting effort on BBOS. Maybe they can build it up in the meantime to make it good enough for consumers.
