I think 950 was designed to unlock screen only with power key button because it prevent you accidently press the screen and open up different applications inside your pocket.

Its their flagship device and they decide to leave out such a basic feature that was supposed to be enabled in the first place. Double tap to wake has always been present in these devices, ever since symbian started going touchscreen with Nokia at the helm.

I saw as well one more option - silence the phone when turning the screen down :-))

              Strange.
My lumia 520 had that out of box.

I don't understand why this feature haven't found way to 950.

Anonymous, 02 Jul 2016Double tab to wake up the screen is not a new thing in wind... moreNokia devices had it long before that. My N8 had double tap. One of the many patents MS wanted, then never used...

galaxyS7, 02 Jul 2016One day windows will get there where android is now.......L... moreIt would if it got more support from people and developers, but it doesn't get any and because of that the os doesn't move much further. Also this reason is the reason why people don't want windows on their phones, thus an infinite loop is created. No one wants it because no one supports it and no one supports it because no one wants it. Almost everyone uses ios/android and it's too big of a change because windows mobile doesnt have many apps people want or need and there are much better options to choose from android phones.
