LOL, 04 Jul 2016typical iFans.. they don't know what there doing... LOLThere's gmail in the name too lol. Some people have a life and can't just focus on little things like this.

I read somewhere that the hacker lives in his mom's basement. Chances are he didn't make a lot of money cause he was still there when he was apprehended.

noname, 04 Jul 2016Seems legal to me. If you are stupid enought to respond a p... morethat's like saying that it's ur fault if u get robbed becuz u showed ur things (expensive phone for example) to the public... the phishing is illegal becuz they use websites tricking the users (for example instead o Apple they create a website using capital i to make it looke line an "L") so u recieve a mail from "AppIe" (capital i) asking to verify ur username and password (seems pretty legit to some ppl if u ask me)
obvousily most ppl will say "how can u be fooled like that it's so obvious it's a scam" but not all ppl are aware of it, some are too busy doing other things (such as celebrities) so they don't really pay attention because it seems really legit

getting back to the actual post... i wonder if the 5 year sentence is ok or too little

Maybe the celeb's PR team should give them a refresher about cyber-security. Mostly because the celebs are so d*mb. We normal tech folks would never enter our personal details on a cyber security email that redirects to a phishing link without calling the CC of the ISP first.

Seems legal to me. If you are stupid enought to respond a phishing attempt, then there is nothing to keep the hackers of not doing it. It isnt even a hack goddamin it.
