Note.5 and S6 with NO memory expansions were the culprits for low sales last year. Maybe the latest don't "resonate" with you because Note 4 has more features than current top tier.

I'm for removable battery being back for the benefits of instant power regain and extended batteries.

I'm wondering how this figures will change shortly...

I'm a long-term samsung customer, but several (!) latest products - S5, S6, S7, Note 6, and seems like Note 7, does not resonate with me (and with many other savvy customers, as i see from reading other tech websites).

i just feel forced to look for a subsitute from a different manufacturer, although i'd love to have the samsung amoled screen in my next device.

put a top notch device and enjoy the profits.
unlike apple who only makes profit by giving mediocre products to its customers

You see, they aren't like Nokia, Blackberry and Sony who all have failed to adapt to the market fast enough. And Samsung actually listens to its customers most of the time. Plus they are the major driving force of tech on smartphones and have their own manufacturing plants for their parts. So never underestimate them.

Of course Samsung made profit from the S7 series. It was apparent that the S6 and Note.5 experiments with NO memory expansions were the culprit to their poor profit last year.

S6 Edge is same design as S7 Edge. Guess which has a microSD slot and made tremendous profit... Poll after poll resulted with a majority still wanted a memory expansion slot. Somebody had to be fired over that one. I certainly did not settle for even just a 64 GB internal only with a Note.5 (and not available where I live) since I use a 128 GB microSD card with my Note 3.

Fact is memory expansion is a big deal. That sells, and now Samsung knows not to F*** it up again.

Now once people realize sealed batteries are terrible as well...
