            Oh well that was obvious.
4 bucks isn't enough even for the battery's cost (not retail price of the battery, I do mean the COST).
It was really funny seeing people defending them fiercely to the point of thinking others who were against this scam being "elitists" that don't want people to have a cheap smartphone.
A big "HA! Told you so" for those now.
Even if they do refund people who paid for this, just placing the money on a bank for 2 months or so gives enough profit for them. Just do it again and move on, new name, same strategy, all fine. Typical scam. This, counting that everyone DID get the refund.

It's impressive tho that the company had the poker face to make more products and ask that sum of money even. Well I can kinda grasp why tho. They "tried" to make a phone for the masses. It's just like politics, get a country with a poor population and make a campaign pretending to care for the poor people = automatic profit. Just make some passionate speeches about this, like you actually cared about it, and you keep with a good image. Now this Ringing Bells can play the "we tried to make good but sadly we couldn't. Poor us, we just need more money and we can do good for you all. Now buy these new products here cause we like you".

People like Mohit Goel, the wide eyebrow-ed devilish looking CEO of ringing bells are responsible for bringing shame to India on an international level.

Don't you guys get it? This was just a scam. They created something that didn't exist and now want government aid. The government may still approve (but still difficult to comment on) considering the subsidies they had offered for the cheapest computer.

Going by the amount requested from the government, they easily have more than that much amount with them (for the phone that we booked online. Imagine the interest they would earn with an interest rate of just 0.70% per month.

This is enough to create a new business earn profits and return it to the customers. This makes me feel that apart from online presence Ringing Bells didn't exist anywhere else. Now that they have enough money (the interest), they can start offering new devices.

They just took money from people and with that exorbitant amount, just the interest is enough for profits. They could've used to approve business loans and then bring up more devices on the market. Apart from this, they've also got free marketing.
