firstly an android mobile is not possible for 251 rs. Making such a promise was absurd, and on the least suspicious. A company promising an android phone with a camera and a touch screen on a price of 251 rs is either a fool or a genius. Looking at their numbers and how they are begging for the government's help of 50,000 crore i will say the latter is not true. Either Freedom 251 was a marketing stunt or a con. Either way India can use 50,000 crore to much better use, and the ones who would desperately need a cheap android based mobile can can go for some real mobile like ones from micromax and intex they are quit cheap and real, and they make mobiles without burdening the tax payers. Tax Payers from whom government make there earning.

7.4 billion to fulfill the 60M'ish ordered phones makes for $123 a piece... but what's 30 times the announced price here and there? The fact that you can get an actual real cheapo phone without government subsidies for less than half notwithstanding.

After huge registrations he is asking money help from government that to 50.000/- crore.
1) No one ask him to deliver 251 devices.
2) if you have given commitment then you should do it on your own. Because it is your dream not govenment dream.
3) why governemnt should help you. that to 50000/- crore.

So they ripped peoole off for 4$ ?
That's the lowest indians have gotten so far.
Oneplus did it perfectly.
They made a phone worth 250$ with flagship specs and they didn't make profit (Company says "single digit dollar profit) and yet managed to sell their devices and gained a lot of popularity and now they are with their 4th device and selling like hot cakes.
