Mike, 15 Sep 2010Why does the document say 4G network? Especially going as f... morethats because tmobiles new network hspa+ is WAY WAY faster then the so called sprint 4g that uses a company called clearwire.

both networks really isnt 4g but they both are calling it 4g, the real 4g network will be called LTE which verizon and metropcs has been working on for over a year.

This is going to actually be a dual core process and a seperate gpu so technically tri processor. but will be true dual core 1 ghz and is very fast. I ran into someone here in frisco that had one. even did a quadrant test on it with the test buggy software on it now got over 1700. Can tell is test software since screen had water mark with htc all over it.

i am betting this is using the same processor as the desire hd a 1ghz processor that as a separate GPU making it dual processor but not a dual core. there are no dual cores coming out from the chipmakers until Q1 2011

Twice the cpu + same battery = even crappier battery life. Mine barely lasts through the day as it is!

I really hope they put a better battery in the new model.

Why does the document say 4G network? Especially going as far as saying Tmobile has the "largest" network in the US?

It is strange that they call this "dual-process" instead of "dual-core". Qualcomm has 3 models that possibly uses 1GHz clock:

QSD8x50 - this would blow. Its the current generation Snapdragon that blows in GPU performance.
MSM8x55 - this one is rated at 1GHz but it looks to be a 1GHz version of MSM7x30 (found in HTC G2), which means its a single core.
MSM8x60 - this is a 3rd gen Snapdragon. It is a dual-core and it does run up to 1.2GHz. But I feel this one is not market-ready yet.

Lets hope for the sake of us, it is MSM8x60. Based on what's written here, it would be pretty good. :)

                          http://smartphonebenchmarks.com/forum/index.php?/topic/73-analysis-of-qualcomm-msm8x60-msm8260msm8660-12ghz-dual-core-snapdragon-processor/page__pid__86#entry86

But I think this one will turn out to be a MSM8x55.

Hey GSMARENA, if HD means a HDMI Out port then why is there no HDMI out or TV out on the HD2? I was excited for this phone until they said 3.8 inch screen. Is it really that hard for TMO to get a 4.3 inch Android Monster phone?

Those grab and go's are always cheesy. I would say its safe to say this will be on the shelves before christmas. Dual means Dual, and Nokia is great if you live in switzerland.

Dual processors is probably dual processors.
                                  1 CPU and 1 GPU.
A processor is not the same as a Central Processing Unit.

Or as Motorola would say, "Video calls over 3G? There's a phone for that."

Thank you GSMArena, this quote made my day.

                                      @bill,

your apple comment making their own hardware,

75% of an Iphone is Samsung and LG.
60% of their computers are Intel and nVidia.
and who knows whats inside the ipods/pads.
