14 July, 2016
Single core performance seems to be up to par with the A9x and industry sources suggest it is a dual-core chip.

mir, 14 Jul 2016The regular dual core A10 shown here is already as fast as ... moreI own the iPad pro. actually. and the A9X is just dual core. but clocked far higher at 2.3 GHz.

123, 14 Jul 2016If this is true, then it's not much of a difference between... moreArm server dudes do care, if ARM cores stop advancing as fast means they will never reach close to Intel cores which means no ARM servers.

Those ARM server dudes want a server chip by 2020 but if things slow down they will never get it. ARM chips need to continue moving fast so that Intel will be finally dominated (they are already gettin dominated in the consumer space due to the falling pc sales of the lasthings 5-6 years).

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2016Let's wait for antutuAntutu mostly measures gpu, it's a uselse's for non gamers...

Geekbench measures CPU which does like 90% of the stuff. So yeah, it matters what Geek bench says, Antutu not so if you're not a hardcore gamer...

BTW this is an impressive cpu score for a phone but nothing groundbreaking, most like the next logical step. The best jump happened last year (1600 single core went to 2500!)

123, 14 Jul 2016If this is true, then it's not much of a difference between... moreThe regular dual core A10 shown here is already as fast as the triple core A9x which is also clocked higher than the regular A9. So its safe to imagine that the A10x that is going to power the next gen ipads will be a beast.

I think it's better that they decided to improve single core performance rather than adding more cores.

If this is true, then it's not much of a difference between the A9 and A10. I can live with that.
