Dropbox was my first cloud service and will be my last one, it works, it's amazing, I have my whole Users\Desktop \Images \Documents etc on Dropbox on my both computer, I've never had issues and they keep giving me free space because people I referred often sign up for a subscription, so now I have 15GB of free space plus 1TB from my subscription, it's not cheap but sure is a "premium" service. Plus the app is very lightweight, well coded and manageable.

Onedrive isn't bad but I have one big problem with it, they almost obligate you to use it, my Samsung devices are coming with it pre-installed, W10 comes with it, not to mention the Lumia phones! Sorry, I like freedom, I like to choose.

my was not affected because i have submitted the opt-in last december... hehe

And now someone tell me that could systems that they provide are good... maybe for random files that you need to share to store some smaller fies, but work? real monthly backup?
I have 8years old hdd from my laptop that i put in external case and it still work. HeII! I have bunch of backup dvd for most important files that are probably older than most of GSMA users! /s

And now look at could storage...
Can you be sure that those storages will be active after 5 years? No. they can delete them just like that.
Can you be sure about security of those files? Nope, they make money from gathering info about users, cloud storage is like diamond room filled with gold.
Can you have fast access to it? Its all depend on internet, so nope.

I seriously dont understand using those cloud storage for storing important files. And if you still want access to them from other devives?
Get your old PC, plug it to router, set it as FTP server... and you have private internet storage in your home... Or just buy router that have usb slot and just plug your hdd to it.
No playing with crappy 15GB or worrying that one day they just delete your files.

Long time ago I made such server from old Asus EeePC netbook. ethernet cable, atom dualcore and 2gb ram and direct ftp access to its 500GB hdd is faster than any http cloud storage you can find... and all that cost me almost nothing because its just old netbook.

I have more than 12GB of photos stored on OneDrive, since 2012 when I got my first Lumia, now they'll delete all of it, I use it on Android now, guess I'll have to switch to MEGA, 50GB of free storage.

Office 365 never gave an unlimited storage, it was and is 1TB; which arguably more than enough for all the selfies. Professional photographers anyways use offline back ups, in case 1TB (which equals to 200,000 5MB photos) is not enough. And BTW, it still is a cheapest cloud storage available AFAIK. Free cheese is usually found in a mice trap, so all the "nice" folks who offer huge free storage out there, probably want more than few bucks a month from you.

AnonD-550207, 14 Jul 2016I just checked my 15 + 15 gb onedrive storage and it remain... moreMicrosoft slowly cutting it. Within a month or two you will see your storage as 5gb only. Better transfer that precious data before they get rid of your stuff.
