Nokia N8 won't be late to the party, ships on 30 September

These statements made by Nokia, have made me think twice about getting the N8. I just feel like Nokia is being dishonest or hiding something. The colors have nothing to do with the delay since here in the US only dark grey is available and on their site said was going to be available end of september now it says end of october.

UPDATE: Reason for the delay is apparently because not all colours were available for shipping on first day of launch, which would have left some people without a phone on 0 day sales. I have just been informed we are looking at w/c 25/10/10 for shipping, a full MONTH on from the initial release date.
I guess we'll just have to wait a little bit longer for them....

upon reading all your comments guys especially pertaining on the delays that nokia committed when it comes to the release date and delivery of N8. I am now having the second thought of buying N8.

I got an email this week saying I was getting mine in October. So no September for me.

Yup, I had an email from Nokia Direct (UK) as well. Doesn't give an exact date but says it will be released in October:

Just got the dreaded e-mail from Nokia, saying my pre-ordered nokia wont be despatched till mid Oct!!
Dear Mr Nokia, this ain't giving me confidence in the N8! Why keep putting it back? Grrr

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2010if you need a mobile phone, than buy WAVE! all in one! sm... morehonestly, i tried several times to become a samsung mobile client,but everytime i was diappointed: weak signal, very very poor battery, bad acoustic in earphone/speakerphone mode, very bad service network and aftersales sevices, no accesories and worst 2nd hand price keeper. no,thanks i will never buy samsung. it's my choice. they are beautiful,but still remain korean toys like kia,hyundai,daewoo in car's world. to buy a mobile only for it's display it's a stupidity. samsung knows to make only displays. in rest they are toys

Nokia N8 has auto focus when it comes to taking pictures..
it's the E7, C7 and C6-01 that has fixed focus camera..

Mobile u.k of the carphone warehouse group emailed me today to pre-order the N8 with them an they say release date 22nd October,so how this going to help Nokia Reputation now days,it shows that they are scared of Releasing the N8,because they first Trusted Eldar of mobile-review.com an gave him the N8 Prototype an All he saw in the N8 that it was not good enough to be Classed as a Top Class Smartphone but a Mid-term one,so Nokia fell out with Eldar by pulling the N8,so from April to October, Nokia have been trying to change the N8 but always seem to hit a stumbling block,an if the N8 fails Nokia will then lose loads of buyers an the company will be then in real termoil an stocks an shares will get worse

Try Pixon 8 or SE Satio. You can take pictures with 100Mpix camera, if they are out of focus, they look worse than a focused picture taken with a 5 Mpix camera.

Of course it will ship in September. That is why the nokiausa.com site says "Late October 2010" as the ship date.
