A best secured phone is one that is NOT a phone. (ie. a Phone without wireless radio)
The best Android can do is make sure things work as intended, but most people just root and load third party things.. things that is not checked and might have security openings.

But yes, with the Launch of the G4, the update for G3 might get pushed back, but only by a few weeks.

Security is only as strong as the weakest link.
With network wide open that's really an alluring entry point for hackers and malicious apps.
Seriously Android need a firewall, it's really an important piece of security.
