WP7 may have a lot to offer, but it needs to come in an attractive package otherwise it will remain just another niche product.
So where are the next gen handsets that, coupled with WM7, might tempt potential buyers to abandon the well established iPhones, RIM handsets and Android devices? As I'm HD2 owner, I find the specs of the HD7 to be rather disapointing.
Microsoft needs to buddy up with with decent phone manufacturers and also listen to what we buyers want (no tethering or SD card slot?!?) or else they'll just be wasting their time and I'll end up swapping my HD2 next year for the iPhone 5!

Annonymous 1, you are still thinking about the good old windows mobile software. U'd never thought apple would make a phone and they did, neva thought google would do mobile, computer and browser software but they do. U'd neva of thought Nintendo wud do a motion controller or xbox (mirosoft) doing netal 3D body motion kits but they do. Compaanies change and for the better.

Hopefully this windows phone 7 would be a treat to the old good windows mobile os lovers. Hmm. why does a lot of people get cranky on windows mobile, imho im liking the freedom it gives me - a clear separation of user and phone, and i can bend it like the spoon - just the way i like it.

I think maybe the problem with windows mobile was they were trying to squeeze a computer experience on a phone and it didnt work.

Is it possible that we can reserve some judgement for when it comes out and gets reviewed at least.
